Portland pulled off a stunner against Gonzaga (which was pretty untouchable in the WCC) the make the NCAA tournament. Gonzaga loses a ton next season.

Luckily for Gonzaga, the win against Stanford and dominance throughout the season should still mean a decent seeding. Nice job by Portland. A bubble team no doubt just fell out of the NCAAs, though. That's the way it goes with conference tourneys.

That's the way it goes with conference tourneys. It could potentially cost them hosting though. That's huge.

I think Portland has beaten Gonzaga in the WCC tourney 3 of the last 5 years now. One of those times was the covid year, they got the auto bid but then there was no NCAA Tourney.

edit--they do lose a ton, 4 starters; but their best player Ejim has decided to come back for a 5th year

Is it to early to post on Benny's House the upcoming Oregon State WBB vs University of Portland NCAA Tournament Game? Charlie Creme already showing it in his bracket, and makes sense for a lot of reasons.
