I don't play religiously. So I didn't see Brazil or Portugal. lol  But the photo of Shibuya's "scramble" was pretty obvious. I mean, why else would a person take a photo of a crosswalk? Maybe only Abbey Road is more famous.

The hospital photo was interesting. I got fairly lucky on #2. The first google map view I checked put me in exactly the correct location.

The highlight for me today is photo #5. There is a domed structure on the right of the street. There are some clues in the photo to get first the general location and then the exact location. I went to google street view and the structure is still there. As to the age of the photo, my Polish grandfather who died seven years before I was born, was not born yet. 

# 4, I did recognize. I basically had a fail on #'s one, two and three. 

He came here in about 1908. My great-grandparents thought they bought passage from Poland to the US in about 1902. I don't understand the details but maybe in the middle of the night, the ship made port in Edinburgh Scotland. They were told to disembark, surprised but thinking they were in the US. Anyway, after working for another six years they finally arrived here. My grandfather was born in this period. I never heard any Polish. My dad said he could understand it somewhat when he was little as that was all his grandparents spoke. My dad rarely spoke about his dad. My uncle says he was a first-class son of a bitch. Twice when I was in my 20's, an old guy would see my surname and ask if I was related to ag'87 logging systems. He had a few patents for mostly self-propelled vehicles using cables. He also did some prize fighting, both legal and illegal in the 20's. I've heard a few stories about his temper and wonder if he had CTE.
