I've always been curious what percentage of message board denizens are season tix holders. So I thought I'd ask...
GO BEAVS!

Family since I was in Jr high, 1972... kept buying ever since parents stopped due to moving.
So 43 years with a 3 year gap when I thought it dumb since coaches and family were in free.
I do miss the days of walking up the walk with bag of Togos, the kids, blankets... sitting backwards on the wooden benches eating using the next row up as a table.... right on the 50.... kids eventually are out like a light all wrapped up in blankets.
Home by 4pm to do yard work.

Started coming to games regularly as a freshman in '97, got season tickets right after I graduated.

Yes Sir !! I think I started around the late 80's or early 90's. Pretty sure it was the later as I think Pettibone was the coach at the time though it might have still been Kragthorpe. A group of us had been coming to games since we graduated in 1979 but as you know season tickets weren't a requirement to get a decent seat in those days. By the time Kragthorpe turned things around from the Avezanno cesspool it became more of an issue.
I'm on the old side (Section 11 -Row 21) and LOVE my seats. I'm one of those old geezers that when they finally decide to rebuild the West side I'll probably bag it as I'm sure it the price will double/triple and I won't like the location as much.

I'd also like to throw in that having season tickets doesn't mean you're a bigger fan than people who don't. There's plenty of factors (distance, job, family, financial) that could go in to not having season tickets that in no way diminish a person's fandom. In fact, if you're skipping your kids soccer games to watch the Beavs in person, I'd suggest you maybe re-evaluate your priorities. I've noticed on some message boards that people seem to take the "I'm there and you're not" stance to prove that someone's opinion is invalid, which is just silly. We're all on the same side here, even if we have different opinions on how to go about it.

I have let my season tickets go. Aside from the night games and the $80 seats, the primary reason is the people who can't enjoy a football game without standing for the entire game. When I buy a ticket to a football game I am buying a seat not a place to stand for three hours. I think many seniors have been driven from Reser for this reason.

No. Had season tickets since the Kragthorpe years. Since I retired, though, I had to make a decision - golf or Beaver tickets. Since the cost of season tickets (about 6 games) cost the same as an annual membership in my next door golf course, and I couldn't afford both, it came down to a decision between year round unlimited golf or six night games... Getting home at 1:00 AM after a drive from Corvallis really sucks. Although the game time atmosphere is not as fun, being home - dry, warm, and 5 minutes from bed after the game - has a lot of advantages.
It was a hard decision - I went several years of doing both the annual golf membership and the season tickets.

No....I live in San Diego (where just this past weekend I watched a missile test that scared the crap out of a lot of Southern Californians) and do not make nearly enough money to fly up six times a year for games.
