What bothers me, along with the obvious disgust with the "alleged" behavior of the player, is the response when the allegations originally surfaced - they hid it from the press. Any team anywhere can end up with someone like this on their team, what matters is how the coach/ players/ university responds. Timing, number of accusers, evidence of a crime (rape kit was done), all are important. Anyone can be accused of anything, doesn't mean there is any proof it happened. Apparently, plenty of proof in this case.
From the article I read, not necessarily this one, the university did not immediately suspend the player indefinitely, pending investigation. They withheld him from the Pac12 Championship game, without explanation, but they let the player travel with the team and play in the playoffs, well after the allegations were made. In other words, they pulled a UofHole/ Leggarette Blount move, and played him when they thought it really mattered.
Now that these allegations are coming to light in the national press, the new coach and AD are basically saying it happened before we were here - how convenient - kinda like the piece of sh*t former AD stabbing us in the back, then bolting to USC. It makes me wonder if the school in question was OSU in this case, would the press and the little O have waited this long to plaster it across the news? LH did not get the same benefit of the doubt, did he? Disgusting.

Well, it did. Facts are facts. Hard to blame Fisch when he was coaching Arizona at the time, or Chun, when he was at WSU and his team HAD TO PLAY AGAINT THE GUY. They had absolutely nothing to do with the decision to play the guy. That said, there is a deep institutional problem at the University of Washington. |

Sounds about right. They have a long history of this. Jeremy Stevens is who you are thinking off, but also Jeremiah Pharms and Curtis Williams are a couple of others. Curtis Williams was the one that was paralyzed in a game and later died in 2002. He was a wife beater, so I'll consider that karma. |

She approved the AD and the coach. She was the primary backstabber at the last moment. Why is there not an enormous amount of heat on her? |
