Being reported widely at this point. Not a big surprise but I think some people were under the impression that this would not happen. To me, just another indication that a Pac-12 rebuild is a pipe dream.

To me, just another indication that a Pac-12 rebuild is a pipe dream. So if we lose autonomy doesn't that mean someone else governs us? Maybe I don't understand what you're referring to as "losing autonomy". Why, and who would want to, and how would they be entitled to govern a conference we share title to with WSU?

It just means we are considered more like G5 teams. The remaining G4 leagues have the autonomy to make some of their own rules. It also means we lose our seat on the Board of Directors. So, our voting weight has been greatly diminished.

Power Five became the Power Four, which means that our voting weight has not changed whatsoever. Oregon State and Wazzu will vote with the other Group of Six Conferences to break a tie, which is exactly the same spot that Oregon State and Wazzu were in before.
