Really encouraged to hear that Syd is on the payroll and recruiting for the program at this very moment... Bottom life: Rueck has got to land some players and he's got to land them ASAP. And by players, I mean Players. Very good Players. Right now he is working with the weakest roster that I have seen since 2014 (when I began following OSU WBB). Hopefully, Syd will be able to connect with some premiere players and help Rueck bring them to OSU..... GO BEAVS!! The roster is currently at 11 players, 6 international and 5 domestic. I doubt there are any quality players available this close to the start of school. They can probably pick up a couple of walk-ons for depth and practice if they want. I am sure Syd will do a good job in recruiting. But unless we get back into a major conference the days of getting elite recruits (Beers and Gardiner were top 10 and TVO was top 30 national recruit) are likely over.

fridaynightlights - -I'm with you 100%...
The important recruiting going on right now is establishing meaningful inroads and personal connections with MAJOR prospects headed into their Junior or Senior year in h.s. The 24/25 roster is pretty much locked in, and a major talent uptick to it is highly improbable.
But in the let's-do-it-now world of university sports that Rueck finds himself in, he must get major talent to sign on for the25/26 season.... If Syd can facilitate that she will have more than earned her salary.
Looking at it from the outside, I'd say Rueck and Syd both know they need to sign 1 or 2 ELITE players for the 25/26 season if they plan to return OSU to a Top 20 program. GO BEAVS!!

Syd's coming home is a pure master stroke by Rueck. This is so completely refreshing after the mass exit of so many players who professed their "Love for OSU."
Loyalty is priceless. Empty words are not.
