Since he's been named a captain, are we thinking he'll be game one starter? The team voted Gulbranson the captain. I am not sure what happens to team chemistry, if Gulbranson does not take the first snap against Idaho State. |

There isn't going to be an every down QB this year and the odds are.high someone gets hurt with more of an rpo thing. Bens a great manager and can move an offense when he isn't asked to air it 30 yards accurately. If it's the Chip school of offense we can look forward to tons of running, lots of misdirection and plenty of guys wide open on drags, slants and posts.

I just don't know that Ben is limited to being "a great manager." Yes, that's exactly what he was in 2022 but that was also determined by the offensive style that team played. The Beavers ran their way to wins and just needed somebody to be relatively mistake-free, accurate and occasionally make a big play. Ben fit that role perfectly. I do think we haven't seen Ben throw at full strength, so hopefully his shoulder is 100 percent or close to it now and maybe we'll see him push the ball down the field with some success. He has never struggled with midrange throws IMO. I do expect to see Johnson in some capacity this season. He's just too athletic to keep him on the sidelines. |

They guy impresses me with his academic achievements. Already has a Bachelor and Masters and is only a Junior (yeah I know Covid etc). And on his way to med school. Impressive dude.

We rotated one guy in for each game as the captain to go out for the coin toss, not sure if it was just for home games or if we did for road games too. |
