Poor DJU. Guess that plight for a greener pasture and an unlikely hope for an NC just went down the sewer pipe. Just lost to a team that went 7-6 last year. If he had more eligibility, would not have been shocked to see him transfer again….NFL stock is pretty low at this point.

I loved that he went to Autzen after beating san Diego state last year, to cheer on his brother... |

Because it was johnathan smiths gsmble just like it was FSU GAMBLE Like it was clemsons. But it has become obvious that this qb has issues beyond his natural talents that dont change when he changes the landscape. Smith hindsight was flawed. By his attempt to ignore evidence and desire to elevate himself. Like the way he left us. |

Meh, I don't really think about DJU anymore. He was a Beav for one year. Seemed like a good dude.....never has lived up to the hype though.

Several time in position to win the game, just can't deliver. It isn't "payback". that's a weird way of saying it. But I am not convinced we are all that worse for his departure. that is a conversation we can have, but that certainly depends on what we see unfold this year. |

By his attempt to ignore evidence and desire to elevate himself. Like the way he left us. It was a great gamble. We needed a quality qb to lead the team. The freshman wasn't gonna be able to do it; he needed more time in the weight room to bulk up a bit. Having a hired gun come in for a year while the freshman sits and learns was a perfect strategy.
And yeah, while the QB is important, it's rarely his fault alone that a team loses. Often, you can find issues with defense or receivers or the O Line that will contribute to the loss.

Exactly. pretty sure DJ wasn't on the field when GT had the ball the last 6:33 of the game or when GT went on a 14 play drive that took 7:53 off the clock in the 2nd Qtr. Yet for some reason QB gets the blame majority of the time lol |

Yet for some reason QB gets the blame majority of the time lol Two drives in the third quarter that made it to GT territory with the game tied at 14 two times DJ can't convert on 3rd down, second time taking a sack no less. You are right, GT went on back to back 6+ minute drives to close out this game. He didn't lose it alone, but in the second half DJ had two drives where he went 1/5 for 15 yards, and took a sack. You just can't do that. 19/27 198 yards 0 TDs 0 INTs is a painfully familiar stat line. It fits in exactly with his run of box scores here. You can't have that kind of uninspiring play at #10 Florida State. it is what got you run out of Clemson. |
