We could invite Incarnate Word just to balance the names out.

You’d most certainly be wrong! “All” Oregonians voting will never happen. Get rid of the electoral college and you will get more people to votes (not just in Oregon but nationwide). Some just give up..if you live in a red state and vote blue your vote doesn't really count..live in a blue state and vote red? Same thing. It would be nice to have a popular vote for President just like every other thing we vote for. The Conservatives won the popular vote in Canada in 2021, but the Liberal, Justin Trudeau, is still the Prime Minister. You don't hear Conservatives bellyaching about getting rid of the Canadian election system. In America, you always vote for things in districts or statewide. You literally vote for nothing nationally. So, you are advocating that we vote for President literally different than every other thing that we vote for. Plus, in Arizona, we vote for multiple representatives per district at the state level. Alaska and Maine have ranked choice voting. Various states have differing rules about who can vote in Federal elections. For example, some convicted felons in Oregon can vote in Oregon but could not similarly vote in Arizona. Virginia has different convicted felon rules. A vote in one state is not necessarily a vote in the other. You would have to nationalize elections to make a national vote really work. And where does that end? Precincts have a certain amount of control but are overseen by the counties. Counties have a certain amount of control but are overseen by the state. Do we eliminate all of that and just put everything under Federal control? That is extremely bothersome to me. One of the first thing that Hitler did was to put elections under Federal control and then injected SA and SS "election monitors." Hard pass. The current system protects everyone from a complete takeover by the left or the right. Plus, there are countries with direct election of Presidents with far lower voter turnout. The United States typically ranks in the top five of countries for voter turnout in general elections among countries where voting is not mandatory. In short, your post is a solution in search of a problem and the solution would cause far worse unintended consequences than it could ever hope to solve.

Has anyone seen the "options" trading on the Robin Hood Platform for the Presidential Election? An interesting concept of buying options... it doesn't payout until Jan 7th which also brings in another bunch of questions.
Currently Trump is trading at $0.59 and Harris is at $0.42. $0.50 is the neutral point so in this little social/financial experiment Trump is the favorite, but you could make better odds with Harris.
I put $100 in... why not be more emotionally invested in this race?
