Well, Cory Doctorow does a great job of describing how Facebook (and newer platforms) go through a process of "en-poop-ification": www.wired.com/story/tiktok-platforms-cory-doctorow/The Unabomber got a lot of things very, very wrong, but retiring to a cabin in backwoods Montana might not have been one of them :-). |

It is a cesspool, but I limit my viewing to golden retriever, German Shepherd, huckleberry hunting, and fishing groups to avoid most of the cesspool.

On that subject, kudos to Glove for having the incite to NOT allow political discourse, here on the forum.
Although I believe folks here are more intelligent than the overwhelming majority of FB denizens, in today's climate, and polarized views (opinions?), it would probably get nasty in short order. The “Porch” was an example.

I own a cabin next to the woods in rural Oregon. I feel that I am not nearly far enough away from my neighbors. I think I would prefer a 100 acre buffer. I need more money.
