It's going to happen. But, when a couple guys do it repeatedly, there is a problem and it is between the ears. There are a couple alternatives. One is "pine time." If that is not a viable alternative due to a lack of depth or a disparate ability level between #1 and #2, then there is one other. If the OL does not have the discipline to sit in the ready position for a while, shorten the snap count. It is tough to be in a ready to launch position for a long time and then launch on time and effectively.
That short yardage "hard count" stuff does not work. From experience, your guys are just as liable to go as the other guys are.

From experience, your guys are just as liable to go as the other guys are. Problem appears to be the lack of an offensive identity. There should be no false starts out of shotgun. There is no hard count. The line seemed to be reacting to Wazzu moving a lot pre-snap. Wazzu displayed a weak but well-coached, heady defense. Getting offensive linemen to jump appeared to be a big part of Wazzu's gameplan.
