What's the over/under on how many times Newman brings up his own coaching in some way? He's at 3 so far... The D*cks score a touchdown and fail the two point conversion: "when you score points in bunches you can afford to throw 1 away once in a while"

Just to think if they'd kicked it would only be 38-14 at half not 38-13 stanford

considering they only had 1 game this season they even scored 30.. and that was vs Arizona.. not good defense for Oregon..good thing they hire Brady Hoke to take care of that

When was the last time 'furd scored 52 points? Last week, the take-away from Stanford's game was that McCaffrey was finally healthy again and that this would make Stanford hard to stop. This week, the take-away is that McCaffrey is still healthy and Stanford QB Chryst is getting better and better (now in his third start). As with most Beaver fans, I feel our defense did a commendable job against Stanford's offense, especially in Palo Alto. The duck defense is not one you really want to measure yourself against this year, but with more help from their offense than the OSU defense got, the ducks "held" Stanford to "only" 282 yards rushing (compared to 365 given up by OSU) but this allowed Chryst to show that he could move the ball through the air (258 yards through the air against the ducks compared to 60 yards against OSU.)

My takeaway from the Stanford-*uck game - the score was a lot closer than it should have been. Stanford was simply wiping the floor with those guys.
Also, on that last garbage time *uck TD pass, Stanford D-lineman was HELD SO HARD. Right in front of the QB, it was one of those "oh sh!t, I have to grab this guy or my QB will get killed" moments by the hole OL, but our dear friendly Pac-12 refs let it go. I understand taking pity on a team, but that hold was SO blatant.
