Did anyone else think the UCLA guy tackling Villamin kicked him in the head while Villaman's helmet was off?? It looked to me as if it was intentional.
I am not arguing against Villamin's penalty--I just hate dirty play.

I am not arguing against Villamin's penalty--I just hate dirty play. I think the intent of that rule is good. But JV was in the middle of a scrum not chasing down a play. That call and msny others showed complete and utter incompetence and ability to show some intelligent interpretation. The kid reached up instinctively. His season has sucked but that was a terrible call.

His season has sucked but that was a terrible call. I have no argument with the issue of Villamin's reaction of pursuing the play after losing his helmet--I think most people would instinctively so exactly what he did--try to make a play.
The situation I was asking about was immediately after the helmet came off when Villamin was on his back, helmetless, with his head near the sideline, it looked to me as if the Bruin was trying his best "get one foot inbounds" act using Villamin's head as the turf. I thought it was a dirty play, but maybe his foot didn't even hit Villamin. Anybody study the replay on that??
