The season was over a long time ago so I'm really not that interested in the Civil War. Beating Oregon this year would be little consolation for this craptastic season. I'd rather be 9-2 going into Civil War and lose, than 2-9 and win. Yes the streak is annoying but in the big picture we have many other things to concern ourselves than the team down the road. Just more proof that Beavs come from varied places in their fandom. If the Beavs pull something off on Friday, I will be over the moon! The rest of the season will fade away and I will only remember 2015 as the year the streak was killed. But I will say I think your position is a legitimate one and I see why you feel that way

But I will say I think your position is a legitimate one and I see why you feel that way I'm actually with both of you. Nothing's going to wash the taste of this awful season out of my mouth, but since we've gotta play the Ducks anyways, we might as well beat them. Being able to say "yeah, but we beat you guys in 2015!" would be a nice little consolation prize. My son just turned eight, and the Beavs haven't won a Civil War since he was 3 weeks old. He literally can never remember a time when we won the Civil War, and yet this morning he said "you know dad, we might win. You never know until you play the game." If he believes, then I can hold out a little hope as well, slim though it may be. Who knows, maybe Andersen's been holding guys out all season just to spring a trap for this game.

I'm wearing orange and black all week, watching the game at home, and depending how it's going may flip over to the Apple Cup occasionally to send good vibes to the Cougs! I still can't bring myself to totally believe there's no chance...despite all evidence to the contrary. (This fits the definition of a delusion, so I am officially delusionally passionate about the Beavs! #lifegoals.) After all, maybe this whole season has been a giant coup to smoke those *ucks!! GO BEAVS!!!! I heard there's a place in Salem that will be showing the game. The trick is you have to be able to spell the hostess' maiden name to get in.... Go Beavs!

GO BEAVS!!!! I'll be going up to the mountain on a yearly trip to go harvest a Christmas tree. I'll get home at ~5:00 pm, then I'll have to have dinner with family and then put the kid to bed. Finally, at ~8:30 or 9:00 pm, I'll turn on the DVR and start watching the game, answering the question: Will my beloved alma mater still be in the game after the first quarter? The first half? I suspect hot, alcoholic beverages will be consumed that night...
Go Beavers!!

Looking for something to do. Really wish the snow was better at Mt. Hood so I could go skiing. Really don't want to even watch.

Watching Little House on the Prairie re-runs. Actually Couglets winning would put an end to UW's bowl hopes. I'm ok with that. Ohhhhh, not so fast. There will be several 5-7 teams who will be in bowl games this year. Not enough teams .500 and above this year to fill all possible bowl slots. Won't happen. Riley will get in before UW. Time to cut back on the # of bowl games and make several of them conditional. Not enough 6-6 teams? Too bad.
