Happy Friday Beaver fans everywhere! All of the hand wringing, beat downs of past coaching staff, current coaching staff, and in some cases individual players are coming to an end today in Eugene. Most likely another butt kicking by our rivals to the south. That's the bad news. The good news is that in a few short weeks signing day happens, a new crop of excited young men coming in to do battle for the orange and black. Spring ball and invaluable time for evaluating those new players, grey shirts, red shirts and perhaps several JUCO players. New optimism for the upcomming 2016-17 football season. Summer down time where our student athletes get stronger and dedicate themselves to improving. Fall ball where we start to see what we can expect for the new season. Then the first home game. Whew time goes by fast when your having fun. I am of course disappointed in our football teams performance this season. Not at all what I expected. It was very hard to watch because we are all passionate Beavers fans. My wife, the treasure of my life, reminded me of when, many years ago, I started in the home remodeling business. I had bought a house and worked for many weeks getting it rehabbed and was down to the painting. My painting contractor was working on the house, and me being the micro manager that I was, began pointing out things that he may of missed, or needed touching up. He stopped me in mid-sentance and said while he appreciated my comments he would prefer that I waited until he was done to critize his work, he really said to shut the £€@& up until he was done, then and only then could I critize. I'm thinking that may apply in the case of our football program. For me I think that I will look forward to signing day, spring ball, summer down time, fall ball and the start of next season before I critize unfinished work. GO BEAVS! ftd

Thanks for the perspective, CO... I feel better, a little anyway.
