How about DeCoud? Hard to believe a few weeks ago he went down with a neck injury and practically looked unresponsive. I like him!!

Oregon has given up more total yards and more points per game than we have this season. I had no clue.

The *ucks def is epically bad.
Still, to some extent, we showed a bit of a change in attitude. A better tone to head off into an offseason, where hopefully we can really build and play like the second half (Or better) all next year.

I don't care if oregon's defense was about as bad at OSU's...I do care that the team got to experience some success in running the ball, throwing the ball, getting a turnover or two, and EXECUTING! You can only simulate so much in practice, this is a big confidence booster to build off of. Take away that one pick by OSU and the offense played pretty damn well.

Oregon's D was not their trump suit but they had enough to edge Stanford and clobber USC. Our Beavs scored more vs Oregon than either the Cardinal or Trojans did. It is funny to think the Ducks did better vs pro style O-schemes than the spread just like we did under Banker even though they are THE team for having put the whole spread enchilada together. I found it hilarious we made them choke on the same style of play we have been getting our rears kicked by for the last several years.
Would it not be the ultimate irony if Andersen combined spread and Boise State trick plays like we saw in the CW to make the most of the spread scheme and we roasted the guys down south repeatedly with it in epic shootouts along with the rest of the Pac-12? We sure got a nice taste of what it's like to look good with the ball during the 2nd half and as the talent plus experience accumulates, OSU could become the flashy team everyone wants to see on TV!

This kind of effort all year and we are bowling. But if we can only get one conference win..this is the one to get. I thought we would have a lot of games like the civil war going into the year. shootouts, where our young and inexperienced defense simply couldn't keep up. I thought we would compete like we competed but likely end up on the losing side more times than not. needless to say, if we had the same record, 2-10, but all our games looked like the Civil war, I think a whole lot more of us are less... grumpy, I suppose you could say. Regardless, Good way to end the year. |
