Can we have a ticket section, recruiting section, and talk random stuff section? Again, this format looks slick. Excited for the new change Glove. Beav77sSon

I'll add a ticket board, no problem.
For recruiting, each sport could have a sub-board that could contain posts about only that sports recruiting news. Sound good?
Talk random stuff? Like what? The Rotating Tap board is for non-OSU sports. Are you talking about non-sport OSU stuff or a Political board? Not sure I want to go down that road...

The sub-board stuff would be great actually. more organized and less traffic. And ya I was thinking like the rotating tap board... just like the beaverdam on PO. my bad, didn't see that there. I have worked with forums for a long time too. If you ever need help or anything, let me know. Would love to help out if needed.

Hey Glove, Is there anyway to keep old posts like this from going to the top just because somebody responded to the post? kinda like what PO does. If that makes sense?

Hey Glove, Is there anyway to keep old posts like this from going to the top just because somebody responded to the post? kinda like what PO does. If that makes sense? That goes against the whole format. If someone posts in a thread it gets bumped up, meaning there was some interest in the topic. If you dont want to bump a thread up, don't post in it. To me one of huge negatives of the po.net format was having scroll way down to find hot topics. This format will keep the popular threads at the top.

I would also rather see the NEWER topics on top so I can be sure I see them. I find that much more compelling than wading through dozens of replies that say 'yes' or 'no' to something. There are some boards that allow the individual users to click an option button that allows them to have the board come up the way they want to see it, and others can view in other ways. Maybe we can switch hosts one more time (if P.O. doesn't come back up on a consistent basis).

I like the active threads on top. One thing I would like to see, don't know if it could be done for a specific thread, is set up a game day thread where the newest posts are at the top rather than having to dig through all of the older posts to get to the new posts at the bottom. It would make it more like a chat room where the most recent item is right there rather than having to scroll through everything each time you want to see a new post.
I assume you can set the whole board up in reverse chronological order, but that would kind of suck generally. For a game day thread it might be very nice. Not knowing how this software works, possibly it'll allow individual sticky threads to post in reverse chronological order? That would allow for one game related thread a week pretty easily that people could access live during the game without a lot of scrolling.
