MY post was a joke. As I was making fun of 1989s absurd assertion that pornography was major driver of deviant behavior. But, I thought I made that abundantly clear. |

That wasn't my assertion,but I'm glad you weren't the lead detective on this case. I want professionals with a "cold eye" for detail and "steel trap" minds working these cases. If in process of my teams search of Heimlich's bedroom(where the crime occurred) we uncovered he had a 100 graphic porn videos hidden away.I'm doing everything I can to build a case against Heimlich and get a conviction.The assistant DA i'm talking to wants more than hot rod magazines and sports trophies coming out of THAT bedroom. Heimlich's "drivers" aren't my concern(therapy guys) can handle that later. My only concern is getting Heimlich behind bars.

I would think finding a stash of regular pron would be a GOOD indicator for a 15 year old accused of child molestation...
Now if you find child porn.... THAT would be a be red flag / crime in and of itself / indicator that the kid needs some INTENSE intervention...
A stack of playboy's and penthouses??? I don't think you could make any soup off of that oyster...
As an aside: I also think that porn is a scourge on our society, specifically for men/boys (although age doesn't matter as much). The internet has made it infinitely worse. Not sure how you could curtail / eliminate it though. And I don't think it has anything to do with leading people to be child molestors or sex offenders in anyway. Although I have to admit that I haven't done any research on it. I am guess you would find it my correlate, but causation would be impossible to prove, and most likely a fools errand.

My only concern is getting Heimlich behind bars. Wait... so... you are trying to get his criminal investigation re-opened? I am confused... At this point he is 2 months away from not even having the "conviction" on the record anymore and no longer being on the SO registry. |
