It was pretty nasty on the sidewalks before and after the game. If I was a big donor and happened to be older, I might not risk falling and not being able to get up for the game. I was impressed that about 85% of the seats were filled.
Just made it home to PDX but the last 10 miles was a bit dicey. And it was well worth the trip to watch the Beavs REAM the *ucks.

When I go to an event, or even watch it on television, I don't stare at the seats.

Well, I wasn't able to make it down....but seemed to me the only empty seats were the lower level, big donor seats, which often are left empty. Am guessing those belong to mostly older fans, maybe from Portland that decide not to come down for the game....too bad they can't put the student section on the other side, because to the casual viewer it LOOKS like a lot of empty seats, but I'm guessing everything else was packed to the rafters. Security ought to let people fill in those lower seats in second half at least.

There were empty seats throughout the arena including the upper student section. Do I hate those empty very orange seats on TV? Of course.

Is this supposed to be surprising? The weather wasn't exactly cooperative and residents of the valley don't know how to drive on ice. The main roads weren't bad at all but I wouldn't have known for sure if I hadn't made the trip. I was impressed with the turnout and Gill was rocking. No complaints here

No complaints here Yeah, I made the trek to/from the Portland area. Streets were definitely dicey once you were off the main roads (especially up in the PDX Metro area) but nothing too terrible. And I HATE driving in the ice/snow. Yes, I was white knuckling it the entire time just waiting to spin uncontrollably, but made it without issue. Glad I went, great game and great turnout with the weather.
