I don't know how strong the PAC 12 is, but I do know it is competitive.
I also know it must be harder than crap to show up for class w/o the ability to compartmentalize the situation.
Somebody leading the class, perhaps a professor, trying to get the class to understand a key component of marketing, or electrical design, or almost anything, and just sit there taking notes, wondering how in the hell did I miss that shot or not block out that rebound or why did I throw that dumb ass pass.
We ask so much of all these kids.

and it's Freshmen vs hardened Seniors (mostly)
Drew looked like a baby seal vs a seal hunter. He got the first two points of the game (on a nice pick & roll too) then got "woodshedded" Regardless if that guy is overated he took our bigs out of the game and had his way with them. Drew will get better. Tinkle will learn how to get his points and shot. It's a learning process.

We ask so much of all these kids. I don't want you to take this as derogatory, but fans asking questions, commenting on players and their play is part of the "job" description. D1 athletes are in the spotlight on the floor/field and around school. It's part of being a D1 athlete. You can't want the glory of being a athlete and not have to deal with the rest. I don't go to other forums, but I don't see OSU fans comments out of line. These kids probably hear very similar things from the coaches in many ways and already know what they need to improve on. We're fans on a forum... we'd be coaching up what we're saying if we we're in the position to have the ability/opportunity. Going to class and compartmentalizing is also part of being a D1 athlete... it's part of the beast.
