I forget the reason why Justin Strong transferred to Montana.
I ask this because I'm not sure if CGA and staff can identify talent.........or develop talent.
He was on ESPN getting 3 picks for Montana.

He got a concussion and the medical staff wouldn't clear him I thought I read?

But most likely he didn't fit the "big boy pants" and needed a belt.

I personally thought he was a stud and a big loss

Yep, the rumor was he was to be medically retired. Don't know how accurate that rumor was.

Justin had strong ties to the Riley era (his brother, Victor). That's clearly a negative in this coaching staff's mind.

I was friends with Justin in college and he left because Andersen told him he wouldn't be starting the next year, and Andersen didn't treat him well in general, so he left to be where he was wanted. He is a good guy and I'm glad he is continuing to have success.

CGA sure seems to be able to tell the future... going all the way back to Suke Mel Cheeto (son of a cheese chip confectionaire), he seems to keep tell guys they will or wont be starting before any "competition" has actually happened... Justin Strong starts 8 games in 2015, but somehow magically by March of 2016 CGA already knows he isn't a starter??? Maybe he was expecting Christian Wallace and Shurod Thompson to be the starters? Holy Cow, I am ready for this ignoramus to be GONE from here!!!! At least the coaches in the past were just bad at their jobs... CGA is bad at his job AND seems to be disingenuous, two faced and unfair to his own players!

Look no further than Seth Collins being forced out of the QB spot because DG had "won the job" in scout team practice. Seeing that guy play in games, it is crazy to believe he beat anyone out. In unrelated news, 3M is currently ranked #16 in NCAA passer rating.

Maybe, say, for the value remaining on his contract???

Better completion percentage, more yards, more yards per attempt and better TD: INT ratio. I am struggling to find an example in college football of a bigger bungling than OSU's last 3 years at QB. something not entirely dictated by bad luck or injuries, but by purposeful decision making.

I believe it's also clear that Collins' superiority in the running game is even more obvious. Sad.

I believe it's also clear that Collins' superiority in the running game is even more obvious. Sad. I'll actually push back a little bit here (just a tiny bit...) by all means Seth Collins is a WAY better athlete than DG. and a far better runner. The one thing DG can actually do pretty well is make the read-option read. The bigger reason Collins got the bench wasn't sub par passing, it was sub par operation of the read-option. He kept when he should of given too much. Collins had better rushing stats as a QB because of athleticism... DG actually did that particular job a little better... (if that makes sense). But in the end, it is still absurd. Collins could of developed his read-option reads over time. He could of improved passing, and he is a FAR bigger athletic threat than DG. None of it makes sense. it is so maddening.
