Rough day in nabeav's world yesterday. Car trouble precluded me from listening during the day. Also, I got a private message from a fellow Benny's House member telling me to "go f myself," "nobody cares about the JBS show," and wondering why I "didn't contribute anything worthwhile" to the board. So yeah, maybe this JBS recap thing wasn't such a great idea. Nonetheless, I'm going to press on. A majority of the show was taken up by Gary's press conference, which has already been covered here. No need to go over that. They did discuss Clay Helton saying after USC's loss that "because you have failure or loss, you can panic and try to scrap everything, or you can believe in the people that surround you. I believe in our players and our coaches." Seems silly to say that when you're 4-1 with a loss to a ranked team on the road, I know. I'm not sure it's applicable to our scenario though, seeing how we've shuffled the coaching staff, schemes, suggested players leave, etc. over the past few seasons. Also a little Darnold vs. Rosen talk - Rick Neuheisel says Rosen is far and away more physically talented, but maybe doesn't have the personality or demeanor to be a top pick. His intellect and brashness is going to turn off scouts apparently. Says Darnold has that confidence and "it" factor. DFT called in to say that "at least Riley would've had an answer for why Hodgins didn't play." Ouch, Dave. A few other callers called in to express similar thoughts. Rocky said his coffee group was incredulous that the head coach wouldn't know why one of his best players wasn't in the game. Other callers called in to lament guys getting onto the field late, allowing Washington to pick up a 4th and 10 on the ground, and the ineptness of the offense. As for drinkable moments, Parker let us know that he went to a lecture on C.S. Lewis on Friday night. He was very pleased that WSU beat USC. Jon apparently had technical issues at the high school game Friday night and was (in his words) "excoriated" for it. About the final 10 minutes of the show was lost due to a computer glitch that left caller John saying "hello?" to dead air for a while before Josh Grossman was able to send us to an extended commercial break. Movie quotes were replaced by song lyrics today: Mike quoted Kenny Rogers from the song " Love Lifted Me," saying Everybody's looking for a way To say something nobody said But that's hard to do. DFT quoted Buffalo Springfield's " For What It's Worth" saying There's something happening here What it is ain't exactly clear.

Whomever wrote that to you can go f%#* themselves. Wildly inappropriate, and clearly a loser of a troll. Side note, C.S. Lewis was definitely an interesting fellow.

It's not like we have a whole lot to discuss at the moment or that clicking on a thread is mandatory. I mean I guess we can start a few more threads about 3M or how we played really great for that one series... or how Connor Blount is our QB 2 weeks from now after DG inevitably gets hurt. Fun.

As others above have said, they are some of the more entertaining posts right now. Watching Marcus McMaryion highlights gets sad after awhile.......

You know our team sucks when the pressers and the JBS are primarily made up of comments about the other team. Sigh. How many different ways can we not talk about the dang elephant in the room?!
Keep doing these, please. I appreciate them.

DFT quoted Buffalo Springfield's " For What It's Worth" saying There's something happening here What it is ain't exactly clear. Did anybody reference Tom petty today? We have a couple choices: Free Falling Breakdown Mary Janes Last Dance You don't know how it Feels The Waiting (is the hardest part)
