I am old enough to remember a time on this board when we didn't attack each other personally if we didn't agree with someone else's post . There were healthy debates and yes, a little tension but we were not calling names , bringing someone's spouse into a debate or literally making a date to meet in a parking lot for fisticuffs . This is something we used to chastise Duck fans for on their fan boards . This isn't representative of the Beaver Nation I knew growing up or have met at Reser . I know we are all frustrated but come on .

Agreed. I actually type out my frustrated responses sometimes...then delete them before I post it because of how silly I would feel getting in a pissing contest over differing opinions on a Beaver message board with fellow Beavs. I disagree with many things that a lot of people post but if I do respond, I hope I would respond in a way that shares my thoughts without demeaning that persons opposite prospective/view. Then again...that is just my opinion and one that some people on here don't agree with

Perhaps you don't remember uostinks??
FWIW, it's a lot easier to be civil when the team isn't circling the drain.

I was referring to the original board before it went kapooey and everyone moved over here and this board as well
it was called pure orange and it was just as pissy as this one. It was actually more of an echo chamber because it was difficult for new members to join and give dissenting opinions.
There seems to be an influx of new posters here since this season began ( or actually never got off the ground). It would make sense that if someone is inspired to post here in times of trouble, their posts would be rather spiteful.

The fallacy of consumer opinion survey's and "how'd we do" cards are that people are usually only motivated to comment when their experience is unusually good or unusually bad. your survey sampling is only that of the extremes in all situations.
