If you meant to say Quizz has been struggling like mad "this year", you probably should have said that. Your post read differently. Go back and read it, and be more clear if you're going to get upset about people misinterpreting your intentions. 1. Quizz has been struggling. 2. As a Falcon, Quizz never had a 100 yard game. 3. As a Falcon, Quizz barely had a couple of 100 yard months. 4. I expected Quizz to shine but I was wrong. Simple. And, let me remind you, in the original post #4 was my main point, not #1. You guys fixated on defending Quizz. Fine. Whatever. But it wasn't the gist of my point. You still didn't clarify you mean he's been struggling THIS year. He kicked a lot of ass last season when he got the chance to start. He was a perfectly decent BACK-UP RB in Atlanta. He's also outplayed his draft position by quite a bit.

He's also outplayed his draft position by quite a bit. If you think he was a decent back up running back in Atlanta and that's what you expected from Quizz, then we have nothing to talk about. If you're OK with his numbers in Atlanta and Chicago, and you always thought Quizz would be the second, third, or fourth back, then I see we don't have a common starting point. From that perspective--which may have been more realistic, I grant you--Quizz hasn't struggled at all. In fact he's a stud. But I had higher expectations for Quizz. And that, in a nutshell, was my point.

But I thought Quizz would turn out OK in the pros and he's been struggling like mad. Jimbo, the above is what you said, so why not just admit that you stated it poorly, that 'OK' to you,in your mind, means something entirely different then every reader of your post interpreted it to mean. You meant 'OK' as in stellar, super, highlight reel career, everyone else reads 'OK' to mean long, stable and financially rewarding type of career. You really didn't phrase it to say what you subsequently are saying you meant.

Sure. I get it.
What's interesting to me is how quickly folks will lower their expectations for Quizz and use qualifiers to somehow think that he had a good career at Atlanta. Yet these same people allow no excuses or qualifiers when it comes to CGA. Bizarre.

It's impressive to make the NFL, and more impressive to stick around for more than a few seasons especially at RB. GA is 7-23, and will never make the NFL

And, hell if Langs can land a gig there I'd not be surprised if GAG could... much better cred than Danny.

Define struggle. Is below average a struggle? Is average a struggle?
The NFL average career length, not just for one team but for the league, for running backs is 2.57 years.

My point in the original post was that I expected Quizz to do well in the NFL, much like Elliot is doing for Dallas. Yes, I admit to being biased. Yes, I know it was naive of me. I tend to be naive. You already know that because I still support CGA.

Elliot was picked #4 in the draft, Jacquizz was a 5th rounder. Elliot has at least 6 inches and 20 lbs on Jacquizz. One is looked at as a 3 down back, one is looked at as a 3rd down back. Huge difference in both playing styles and expectations, especially considering the draft positions.
Jacquizz is in year 7, Elliot is already facing a 6 game NFL suspension after just one season - few, if any, players ever have managed that. There's no telling if Elliott will make it to his second contract at this point.

You believe that I have dishonored him, but I assure you that this is not the case. You don't have to knock down Elliot, either. It was just a quick comparison to try to explain to you what my expectations were. But none of you can see that. You all think you need to defend Quizz. Forget it.

I know he's gone and I'm really late to the party, but wow - I expected Quizz to be like Elliott is one crazy hot take.
