There were multiple high snaps in the Stanford game. ========================== You keep mentioning this. I don't see it. What I see are results. Before snapper change: 2-6, one blocked for sure. After snapper change: 5-7, no blocks, kicks that were just short were right on target. Jethro Gibbs' Rule 39: There is no such thing as coincidence. Not saying the results haven't been there, but if you're watching the snaps, you'll see that many have been off-target in the last couple of weeks. I'm happy he's making the FGs, it's just that you can't watch our long snapper for one game and say to yourself "that guy's a good long snapper". He may be better than the guy he replaced, but his snaps have been noticeably off-target. In such small sample sizes, coincidence is just another word for not enough data.

I'm generally happy with our field goals now. I wish the range was 55 yards instead of 47 yards, but maybe we'll get that guy on the team. I can't speak to the entire unit, but when the snaps/placements are good, the kicks seem accurate. If a team has a group that is around 90% successful out to 40 yards, that is golden.
What is leg lag?
I saw Stanford's kicker and on TV, Arizona's kicker have 60+ yard ranges. Is there a guy that plays soccer at OSU able to do that and handle kick-offs?

There is a guy playing baseball at OSU that has kicked 63 yards and holds the all time Oregon record, and hits over 50 with ease. He also catches baseballs. Just sayin.....

Adley made the choice to stick with baseball.

Adley made the choice to stick with baseball. Adley is a catcher with eye-popping, pro level skills, whereas there are a lot of strong legged kids coming out of high school. Obviously not all of them are capable of a 63 yard kick, but as we can see, recruiting someone with 55 yard range and giving them a schollie instead of making someone walk on and hoping for the best can be the difference between victory and defeat.

I know we are are supposed to just believe Beaver hype and Adley is a very good prospect, but your adjectives are describing a player of Nick's magnitude. Adley is no where Nick's level... Team USA, etc. Adley's summer on the Cape proved he has a loooong way to go as a catcher/hitter... in 67 ABs he hit just .164 with 11 hits / (1) extra base... (4) BIs... and 21 Ks/10 BBs the last time I checked in before the playoffs... I think he sunk below that after. The Cape is just one of several Fall leagues and he wasn't even Falmouth's best catcher as a CC guy hit .280+ with 7HRs in twice the ABs. I get people love Adley... but, his best days as a MLB prospect are as a pitcher. But, back to current kicking game... it sucks but even or own standards.

His hitting will come along.
