.....about another school poaching Hall while we are figuring out our options?
The consensus around here seems to be that either we give the job to Hall or hire someone else who keeps Hall on staff, thereby keeping some of the kids who are hinting that they will walk if he leaves...but what if we give it to someone else and a UTSA or UNLV or someone else offers him their head coaching gig? What if another P5 school throws a bunch of money we don’t have to make him the highest paid position coach/recruiter in the country?
We might have to move on this thing quicker than I originally thought if we intend to keep Hall in the fold

Why would any other P5 school throw a ton of money at someone who's never been a coordinator and a college coach for 2+ years? Because he's forged relationships with players like most other position coaches do? Another school with more resources is going to hire him "away" because he's enthusiastic? Because he's in charge of a team that's been "unleashed" of a burdensome tyrant? We should fear him leaving because... there are no other quality assts out there? Seems... Hall came in and did fine. There are not others that can come in and develop great relationships and respect?

Orgeron had way more experience than Hall, many positions, associate HC and recruiting coordinator at another school or two, as a head coach ( didn't do well in that particular gig, even changed his coaching approach to way more player friendly after that), NFL assistant, back to USC, went 6-2 as an interim coach with the players firmly on his side, and it still took him 2-3 more years to get another head coaching job.
This assumption that Hall is going to become a head coach somewhere simply because he's well liked and gotten a couple games out of his kids might stand being toned down a hair to be realistic.

If some other program poaches Hall and he goes it is on him. Period. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. See ya. Good luck in your future endeavors. You divorced OSU.

I am not worried in the least. No other program is going to poach a position coach with only two years college coaching experience. It is ludicrous to think he is even a legitimate candidate for the head coach position.

Nope, not worried at all. No one is going to make him an offer until the season is over. If OSU doesn't make him an offer then and another school does, he should grab it, congratulations. He and OSU owe each other nothing at season's end. Until then, no worries.
