Way to early to ask, but that's what we do here.
First question that will need to be answered, what's our QB gonna look like and what are his skill sets.
I'd sure like someone to come up with a one word label to define UW's offense under 9'er, but I don't think one exists. Well at least not an accepted or commonly used offensive label that is. Flexible, not to be confused with the flexbone, is the first label that comes to mind. Adaptive is another. Maybe Flexdaptible or the Adflex offense? lol
You see UW go from shotgun, under center, hurried pace at times, slower other times. Anywhere from 5 splits to double tight with the H inside or just outside the TE. Drop back passing, RPO's, lots of multiple player shifts, motions, formations. It's precision smorgasboard is what it is.
My guess is we'll see something off that smorgasboard menu here that fits the talent at hand.

I think Smith did a good job of running an offense that capitalized on the weapons at their disposal, getting the ball to playmakers.
I like the flexibility & creativity.

In One word, we will see “FLEXIBLE”...I think. And that’s a good thing!

I think you will see really good quarterbacks, an exciting offense and lots of points.
What I really want to see is the return of the Black Bandits of Benton County, big, mean, fast, and with a chip on their shoulder. Guys who hate people in grellow, or cardinal, or any color not orange and black. Guys who play on the edge,

Luton indicates he is coming back and is excited to learn from Smith. He has a big arm I suspect, like others have said, we have some nature of an open passing offense. one that leans on the running game, but uses that cannon on Luton to attack the defense vertically. Lots of vertical deep shots, lots of up the field routes from multiple receivers at once. Just my thought. When JS had a burner in Ross, they went deep ALOT.

I think we're going see a ton of formations, very similar to what JS & Peterson had at UW/BSU and Riley's first stint at OSU. Unbalanced lines with multiple tight ends and next play may be a 5 wide set. Will keep the defense guessing and hard to gameplan for. I think we'll see a lot more points scored next year compared to the last 3 years.

Whatever the new offense looks like, there must be vast improvement on the discipline of execution. Drive killing penalties, clock management, and time-out usage are areas that will be critical if we are to see positive change.

And they will also catch it like Robert Prescott. It's going to be fun.
