As part of my job I recently had to look to the UofO's fiscal year 2015 financial reports. The first few pages of these reports (from any entity) contains a narrative of what the entity is all about. This is what was written on page 4 of their wonderful document, "7 Governors. 2 Nobel Prize winners. 12 Pulitzer Prize winners. 19 Rhodes scholars. 13 Olympic medalists. 6 NFL Hall of Famers. (Now for the good part.) Indisputably, the UO is an academic and athletic powerhouse."
I actually said out loud, "who writes this crap"?
Powerhouse?! Seems to me they are trying too hard to convince themselves of that statement. It sure didn't work on me.
Anyway, I thought I'd throw this out there so you all could have a few yucks.
