Some bulletpoints for those of you who can’t listen:
- Sounds like Lindgren and CJS are pretty tight. Families vacationed together last summer. He admitted that they talk hypothetically about working with one another should one of them get a head-coaching job.
-They bounced offense of ideas off one another during the season, since they obviously competed against similar opponents
-Lindgren runs more of a spread, while CJS runs more of a shift offense using more tight ends. They are still working out the details of what the exact offense will look like, but will use concept from both offenses
-He stated stated that he wants to “disguise the simplicity” of the offense. Meaning they will run and repeat similar concepts on offense, but will use things like motions to confuse a defense. However, the reeds for the quarterback will be the same
-Talk to candidly about establishing the run on offense
-Agreed with CJS at the beavers we’re not far away. Stated that the beaver should’ve beat Stanford as well as, his Colorado team last year
Overall, he seemed like a likable guy. It was a good interview, and I like the fact that he avoided some coach speak in regards to acknowledging that he and CJS Were close, and mentioned their families vacationing together, etc.
