1 star recruit. How many of those guys above him on the recruiting lists even started a game at the college level? Probably less than 25%

Probably less than 25% To be fair, almost everybody thought Poyer was going to play baseball. Hell if I remember right, he came to OSU on a baseball schollie at first, similar to Dallas Buck. Difference is, Jordan stuck with football.

Poyer was a better football player than baseball. He looked the part in the football field and you could see he'd excel vs any level of competition. Baseball... not so much. He was a good 3A/4A player, but he struggled vs better competition, although drafted by the Marlins he was definitely more dominate in football... on both sides. He had like 120+ TDs in high school. But, 20/20 as its obvious now he never was the level of baseball player he reached on the gridiron.

Congrats to Jordan; too much program angst here - very nice to celebrate a Beaver in the Pros making it big.

Jordan's baseball career was very similar to Jarmon's and Simonton's. All were briefly on the team, but barely saw the field.

Yea, I thought he was here on football schollie initially also trying baseball. in any event.... good on him. Hell of a player.

I listened to part of the interview live while I was driving today. He did well. Very happy for him that he has made it in the NFL and for this award. He represented Beaver Nation well in the interview!
