Is it just me or are too many stuck on the past? As far as I can tell GA is not coming back and neither is Marcus McMaryion. Decisions were made that affected the team over the past couple of years. Decisions that cannot be undone. Is it possible to wipe the board clean and look to the future? Why are so many of you stuck on people that made decisions that are no longer here?

No doubt. These people need to realize we just hired Mike Riley as Assistant Head Coach

Looking forward will be much easier when we see all of the staff in place, and we have at least gone through the final recruiting/ signing cycle, as well as the spring game. Right now, we know very little about what the team will actually look like until that happens. In the meantime? My take is people are bored, waiting for the CJS era to unfold. It is going to be a long 3+ months until spring ball!

For the same reason that "The National Enquirer" is popular. Many humans simply revel in controversy, confrontation, gossip, and vented frustration.
I am so glad I see life differently.
Sports reporting now has little to do with the actual activities on the field or court, but on how the players reacted through social media, how they feel about each other, or any other comment they can glean from an athlete that will create ......(See above in red)

I agree - and am glad for it. Really awesome to see most all of Beaver Nation rally around CJS - I only hope that said Beaver Nation will give Jonathon a certain amount of patience for growth and progress of the team - and wins.

Well, in that sense, what Andersen did is good for the program. Expectations are reset/managed and simply managing a winning season would make Smith a hero. Similar to the low expectations in place when Leach took over at WSU, and the latitude that he received accordingly. Though do I think wise cracks about "fat little girlfriends" earned him some additional love that Smith won't be able to cash in on lol

I guess I lost track of Corey Hall. Does he have a coaching status, or is he in limbo?

I guess I lost track of Corey Hall. Does he have a coaching status, or is he in limbo? Still in limbo. It was said that the defensive coaches wouldn't be chosen until the DC was named - now he has been, and we have 9 coaches named so there are still two openings. We don't have a running backs coach, secondary coach, or tight ends coach identified.

A player being named the MVP of his bowl game, in the same season he bolted from another team, is newsworthy. Not to mention good fodder for message boards. Since there's really not any other Beaver Football news going on right now, it's the topic of the day.
