Jalen Hurts was 26-2 in 2 years at Alabama. He will likely lose the starting job to a kid who had 1 good half of football..... If he were to become available should CJS go after him? Get him!

Get him!The obvious question to answer is if Hurts was 26-2 because of him. or he was 26-2 because of Alabama, Alabama defense and Alabama running backs. He is a low volume passer, but also has a very impressive TD to INT ratio. 17 to 1 last year. Does that translate to coming to a school like OSU and being the guy to put the team on his back?

You're overthinking it my friend. Our current QBs are 1) guy recovering from a broken back, 2) guy who was 2nd string at Arizona Western. 3) Connor Blount - originally a GA preferred walk on. You take him in a heartbeat. We actually offered him out of high school (along with 20+ other schools).

That's like asking if a man stranded on a desert island with no drinking water for a week should drink from the crate of Winco branded bottled water that washes ashore...
"But it's not Evian!"

Just so everyone is on the same page - there is no "going after" Jalen Hurts until the moment that he secures his release from the University of Alabama. He is not a recruitable athlete while he has a valid signed LOI with another institution, per NCAA guidelines. No contact may be made by any representative of another NCAA institution until he is released from the LOI by Bama.

I'll say this, just like dating and looking for a job, things don't always work out when you are desperate. We still need to actually consider of the person is a fit. FWIW, he probably is. We will be in a shotgun formation pro offense like Alabama is doing.

Let's not be naive. There are probably informal feelers already out between his family/handlers and boosters/alumni, after all, we're talking about SEC football and the south in general. He may already have 2-3 schools in mind that he'll check out before making a decision. It's not like these transfers ever start with a blank slate, they've assessed the landscape or they wouldn't be transferring. He's from Texas and was offered by about every school in Texas (and the Big 12), so those may be the most likely options. Especially since the Big 12 is now known for big offense and not a lot of defense. Hurts was interested in Texas A&M when Sumlin was there, if he goes west, it might be to Arizona. I could also see him at a school like Houston.

I think he’ll stay there regardless. In any case it doesn’t matter here. There’s zero chance he would ever consider Osu. That’s just crazy talk.
