No thx, would then run into arrogant SOBs like you without alcohol as their "excuse". I don't see the problem with going to a football game and slamming some beers, but maybe I'm just a dumb millennial. I'll continue to have a fun time while we have another losing season and you can sit in your fancy seats and worry about drunk people. Cheers. Proved my point... except you're both arrogant and let's just say, a few bricks shy. Out of the initial post you focus on just the alcohol... tell a OSU fan... prob longer than you've been alive... to switch allegiance. Then come back with the unintelligent/immature (but you already admit being a dumb millennial) comment on how I may or not watch games and where I may sit. But, then again... "dumb millennial"... is typically an excuse for boorish/arrogant behaviors. Add alcohol... well it's the reason for the complaint in the first place. It's not the selling, it's not the drinking, it's the idiots who can't handle it. Thx for making my point. And... I'll have a great time... in any seat(s), home and away. And, been doing so for much, much longer than you. Cheers indeed

You obviously couldn't recognize the BYU comment and dumb millennial comments were sarcasm but alright. And if I, an OSU student, really am both arrogant and a few bricks shy then that isn't a great look for the school you are so "invested" in.

But, you're right on one point, you don't really represent the university I'm invested/vested/ support. But, of course admission standards are what they are. 🍻

I'll get my degree and I'll have earned it even if the "admission standards are what they are". Your words not mine, but I think OSU is a great university. I'll support OSU just as much as you say you do too, expect I won't cancel my future season tickets over something stupid like people drinking too much alcohol at a FOOTBALL GAME.

I have been going to Beaver Games since late 80s and after I graduated from OSU in 2007 I held Season Tickets until last season. From 1996-2008 I never missed a Beaver Home game. (Fun Fact, the game I missed in 96 was the 26-12 upset against Stanford and the 2008 game I missed due to being in Grad School, was the 27-25 win against Arizona St. when we stopped a tying 2pt conversion.) I was able to make it to like 3 games last year. I wish I had my season tickets last year, but my wife and I had twin babies last September. Since my wife stayed at home this year, we can't afford to get season tickets this season, but we plan on renewing in 2020. I will try to make it to 3 to four games this season and possibly try to bring my 11 month babies to 1 or 2 games. They will be 1yr olds on the day of the Hawaii game. I support OSU, Smith and all the coaches win or lose. I wish I could afford season tix. this year but you can guarantee that I will not miss a game this season watching live, on tv, or listening to Mike Parker. I believe that we will be much improved this year and the concern for a lack of Season Tix, or attendence, will likely not be as much of an issue as it is now. I hope attendence will grow this year as the team improves. Go Beavs!

Are you as miserable as you present online? LMAO... another of the classic "I know you from your posts"! Don't think there was any "moral" high ground being established, but then again you do have a propensity for not really comprehending posts on this site and then unwittingly butting in. Second, if you actually followed the thread, my initial post was a simple comment/opinion on the selling of alcohol in college athletic venues and the issues that I have noticed and experienced. The followed by the super intelligent reply to become a BYU fan. Next... like your reading skills, some definitions seems to escape you. "Projection", in the psychological context that you are implying involves the denying of a trait in one's self and attributing it to another. I, in no way have EVER said I'm not an SOB on occasion. But, then again in the new antisocial societal norm of stepping in to make conclusions without any facts or relevance... you have just provided a perfect example. And... by the way I'm so far from miserable it'd make you cry in embarrassment. And, even more enthused when I get to reply to a hapless twit who's unaware of their own "false-consensus effect" or more likely "hostile attribution bias/intent". Look 'em up your picture is there!

I do not care what happens at other schools... some of my worst trips were to places that sell alcohol to large crowds.
Some of my best trips have been to places that know how to party, large crowds, booze, fireworks, food. "The noise from all them automobiles spooks the Johnson's chickens, they only got 6 eggs last Sundy!" "Those people are drunk and behaving lewdly! Oh my word!Father call 911! I saw someone urinating where my dog usually does, glad Puddles didn't have to see it!" Good for you... Key word... "some"... FresNO... Wisky YES... etc etc etc Were you at the Reno game in 99 when they were serving Jack Daniels cocktails in the stadium? One thing about the state of Nevada though, their cops don't play patty-cake. I saw a loooooot of people leaving in handcuffs. Boise was the only time I had a random fan physically assault me out of the blue. Butttttt..... to be 100% fair and accurate, there were 4 attractive coeds who yelled at him and then invited me to come have a drink with them. This, unfortunately, caused me more problems than the guy who gave me a forearm shiver in the lower back from behind... because my then-girlfriend (now wife) missed the forearm shiver but received a good clear view of the attention I was receiving from the coeds. Win some, you lose some.

Win some, you lose some. I was there... sun burned to all hell... and I believe we drank the entire morning and walk up to the field, less during the game. And, the security/arrests as you mentioned were strictly enforced. If I'm not mistaken I believe there was a huge brawl in the end zone stands. I never saw it, but someone said later a guy or two were hanging from the railings a good height up. FresNO was the worst in my history of traveling. State troopers just stood a watched crap happen... minor assaults, bottle throwing, getting minors drunk, using an obviously mentally challenged kid to come yell obscenities after plying him with alcohol, on and on. ASU can be as bad around the stadium and in the upper decks/cheap ticket areas. ALWAYS pay more and sit downstairs!!
