Where to play football when Reser is being remodeled? Can't wait till we break ground on this project...

I feel like Nuke Laloosh (man that movie is old, Tim Robbins must be close to my age (note, he is!)) standing with Crash Davis being taught all the old cliches, or is it like Bill Murray in Ground Hog Day - "waking up" to the same interview over and over again. Just nothing of substance; and the whole thing crashed and burned for me when he had such positive non-descript things to say about Larry Scott - maybe he hankers for a job that pays so much for achieving so little. And people complain that the president of the United States gets paid too much to try and run a country of 300 million people, when Larry Scott gets paid 10x + as much to grind a college network into the ground.

I don't understand the push to remodel Reser, especially how we can't get half the stadium filled right now. People need to prioritize getting the team out of the dumpster first, and forget about the stadium for a while.

The west side has been an embarrassment for 15 years.... relative to the other improvements. It screams for a redo. Football is the number 1 athletic program.... no matter anyone’s predilections ( I’m a baseball guy).... nor results. Gotta get this stadium to look like a major college stadium. I’m getting tired of looking at that Westside. . No offense to anyone over there.... I’m lookin at structure... lol. And amenities are dismal. High school.
After 15 years... I wouldn’t say this is a big “push”.... more like a tap on shoulder asking , “ excuse me, shouldn’t we get this done ?”.....

As he noted, that days of skyrocketing attendance for CFB appear to be over - the key to getting people in the seats now appears to be amenities - and those of us sitting on the west side sure don't have many. I don't care one bit, but not all of us are as focused on the field.

Gotta give each seat a USB port or two and make the whole stadium a public hotspot. Maybe that'll get some extra butts in the seat. If that doesn't work they need to add nespresso machines into the back of every seat.

Well, according to some running lines with a tap at each seat would be the best solution! 🍻

He is very uninspiring. Bring back Mitch Barnhart or someone like him that has energy and enthusiasm for the job.

He is very uninspiring. Bring back Mitch Barnhart or someone like him that has energy and enthusiasm for the job. An AD isn't a cheerleader. He's an administrator and leader. He's not a rah-rah guy. But he seems to be effective so far. I like all of his coaching hires. We have upgraded where necessary (M & W soccer, FB, T&F, crew) and (hopefully) at least maintained in baseball, where quite frankly it would have been impossible to upgrade from the best coach in the country. He made the tough (and correct) decision to jettison swimming, which we never would be competitive in and was a $1 million annual drag on the department. Since his hiring there have been/are ongoing significant facilities upgrades to Gill inside and out; to softball; to Goss, and to the Sports Performance Center. I think we will get good news about Reser sometime in the late fall.

People need to prioritize getting the team out of the dumpster first, and forget about the stadium for a while. Eventually the West side will have to be replaced. Every year we wait the cost of steel and other materials go up. The price tag will be 175 million atleast. Attendance is declining nationwide, but people will go if the product is very good. We have to strike when the iron is hot...we will be very competitive in the next couple years imo. It's about having amenities people want to increase attendance. Recruiting is the lifeblood of your program...we need competitive facilities to compete asap. How do you get better...recruit better players. They want great facilities to believe that a school is committed to winning...
