His team is going nowhere until they find a better QB. Kelly's system with no QB = disaster.
Plus, the rest of the football world has caught up with him and his game is no longer new.

He came out of left field with some new ideas, caught lightning in a bottle with an exploitative offense, but ultimately couldnt get it done, in part because his personality is a turn off. He's a jerk face and cant stay in one place too long. And now his stuff doesnt work anyway.

Not yet, but he will start 0-4 as OU will roll him and the Pirate will KHA. Then he does have a couple gimmes with UA and OSU. Those last two will be the test.

He is an arrogant personality who idolized himself and got by at Oregon because that is a school that feeds off of arrogance and bright shiny objects. Once the shine is tarnished and the false facade is cracked, these types of people are running on a treadmill in reverse. Yeah, they can make a comeback - but, he needs to reinvent himself and his football ‘ concepts and theories’, Which - by the way, is VERY difficult to communicate to today’s very spoiled, and entitled, athletes. I had a coach like this, at one point, and while in high school, he said we could not date during baseball season, Our star pitcher got mono, and he was convinced that if he did not cover for this eventuality... the entire team would go down. He had a ‘contract’ we had to sign that demanded diet changes, nightly curfews, etc. Everyone signed, but did what they wanted anyway, We still succeeded and he was none the wiser. Kids today would refuse to sign.

I like Chip Kelly. He is a fascinating dude and when he let's his guard down he is a really good interview. Hes arrogant? Really? A coach? I'd make the list but...
With that said he's gonna have to rethink tmhis approach if he wants to be a successful coach, which of course he can be. His next move might be in the booth.

Don't give a lick about the outside persona. If you're not arrogant about your abilities you don't belong in coaching.

Here is my definition of arrogant - obviously quite different from what others may think - 1) puts HIMSELF above the team 2) Died not lead the healthy lifestyle he forces on the kids ( he’s a PIG - how can you believe in anything he preaches ) 3) He is an extortionist when it comes to money 4) Horribly overpaid and underperforming ...

MR was a Trojan... etc... etc. Hell Parker is a uck you probably love him. Not advocating seeking him out if he's fired, but you certainly listen if a guy like him is interested. Ridiculous not to seek great minds and teachers.

Two aspects of Kelly's success at tsdtr that do not get talked about much, but go a long way in explaining why he has not been successful in his last three stops.
1) The ucks were notorious for their tempo offense, snapping the ball before the defense was ready. They browbeat the officials into placing the ball IMMEDIATELY, often before the officials were set. It was a huge advantage. No one in college ball had done that before the ucks, not to the degree they did it and defenses were not ready.
Cannot do that in the NFL, and I don't see it happening in college ball now, although I truly don't watch that much. But I don't see down-it-race-to-place-it-snap-it, officials are much more in control.
2) Tsdtr held on offense during the Kelly era more than any team I watched. Particularly on the edge of the o-line and downfield receivers. Combine that with officials being out of place and it's a potent advantage. Ucks recruited speedsters into that environment and rolled up a lot of points.
There were many other reasons of Kelly's outlier success, but those two are rarely mentioned and hard, if not impossible, to be duplicated again. Chip was a genius? A genius at gaming the college football environment at that time. Since then, not so much.

Yes the Chipster is finished. A lot of what he was about was getting around the rules and fairness of playing a game. Especially the hurry up crap. I remember Civil War games where the ball would be set and snapped even before the officials were in position and ready. That wasn't fair and he used crap like that to full advantage. Now the rules and the rest of the football world has caught up and passed by. He is finished. He will get fired from UCLA either this year or next and disappear from football not to be heard from again.
Good riddance.
