Not "backing" either... never a black and white issue... just a major concern and red flag. However, I don't ever buy into the "their own players" theory/BS... these ARE THEIR players... it is their job to make every attempt to put THEIR players the best chance to succeed. Coaches are the experienced leaders, they need to adapt, adjust, and be flexible until their system can be implemented fully.

Whatever the reason it is tough seeing the Beav's make the long slide to be the worst team in the Pac-12. I am glad I got to see the great teams.

I had hoped for a better performance on the field, now I realize that was just hope. We were extremely luck with the last two Bball hires and I thought there was a little more magic in the cupboard, but alas, the jar is empty. I wrote on here after the WSU game that it was time to play for the future; even more so now. We were not good last year. We are not good now. Take your lumps and move on. As I sit in the stands I do often wonder out loud whether we practice catching...or tackling...shedding blocks...keeping contain...etc. I think there is a lot of work for the coaching staff with this team--and I don't think it is all their fault. You really shouldn't have to teach a 20-yr old football player how to tackle in space...but, alas, that is what needs to be done. The sooner we accept the reality that we aren't that good, the quicker our collective attitude will improve. It's just a game! Enjoy the time with friends and family. Cook a pig, have an adult beverage (or two) or a Grape Ne-hi if that floats your boat; just don't piss and moan that we should be beating anyone but the two teams we did manage to beat. It was time for a change, we all knew it. It will get darker before it gets better. I'll be there...watching...waiting...and cheering on the Beavs.

Again... I'll restate... again I'm am concerned with other things not directly related to football x's and o's (record, recruiting, depth, etc.) Those will all pan out one way or another and in many cases are completely subjective. But, public comments, tossing players under the bus verbally, complete contradictions of statements (".... we do not pull kids for physical mistakes..." is a biggie), players and coaches in verbal altercations, and a seemingly complete lack of a direction on offense (seem to not be building a strength in any one area, but grasping at straws), sudden change of QB in a week (from a seemingly distant 3rd on the depth chart)... I'm not a MR supporter or detractor... he is not OSU's coach I really do not care about any program except ours. Playing the comparison game is a worthless endeavor. I not only want a winning program, but a program I can be immensely proud of. As of right now I have grave concerns, and it has ZERO to do with wins and losses! Bet you're the 1st passenger screaming "we're all gonna die" the 1st time the plane hits some minor turbulence.

We do not have good enough QB play this year to win. After that does it matter? Not gonna keep PAC 12 teams under 10 points. We are all frustrated because we have been for years minus Mannion/cooks year. Where cooks caught everything up to triple coverage.

Ah there is the guy who failed freshman year!!! So glad you could add your mature 2 "sense"... I see some of the losers from PO stumbled there way here!
So read carefully... concern, red flag = something to be watched... we've been down roads where this red flag was ignored by all, fans and admin until it was too late. I support this staff and all who know football knew it was time for new blodd, but it does not mean you can't voice concern.
Very "uck like" post... congrats!

Who has been thrown under the bus? Honestly, I haven't heard/read that. Again... then you do not read interviews and listen to coaching/player interviews... it's not even subtle...

I missed the altercation between a coach and a player. Can someone post video of that? BCM was good at that. Is he over here on this forum yet?

Hoping the same thing!!! Every coaching transition at this level and higher has disgruntled players who found a home in the old regime... but, at the college level it is usual a quiet elimination of transfers later on. Hoping we do not drive off recruits and players we need to stay.

I was listening what Bobby Grim said at halftime at the OS-Colorado game. What he said was, "There has been a lot of progress made in the program! Fans want instant gratification but they are not seeing it in the win column but, there has been a lot of improvement with the program that fans are not aware of. That there has been some very bad habits brought forward from players, from the prior years that are hard to break!" You may or may not agree however, I think Mr. Grim has some insight into the program that we as fans do not.

, I think Mr. Grim has some insight into the program that we as fans do not. But there are also a bunch of media that don't ask the hard questions or gloss over the problems. Steve preece never asked a hard question of Mike Riley. He never alerted Beaver Nation of problems in the program. Of course he is getting paid by that program too
