Come on, John Canzano/Michael Wilner; get us some 💰 figures and other specifics. Y'all got what you wanted. Reduced distributions for this year with specific guarantees against future litigation. It's too bad the D10 drug this out for so long. Come 2026 bring in SDSU, Fresno, UNLV, BSU, CSU and AFA. Then look at Memphis, Tulane, UTSA and either Rice or North Texas.

Figured the agreement would come quickly once the Superior Court of WA ruled. The traitors no longer had a chance. Let’s hope there are some nice Xmas presents in the details.

If those departing school got anything more than 15 million then we blinked when we could have had it all. Media needs to file for disclosure of details.

We had our Clint Eastwood glare going. They backed down after losing in court.

The settlement has to be disclosed to the public per Oregon laws. We will see it soon.

They never would have settled for those terms. It's ludicrous to think otherwise. No P-4 conference would ever want to deal with us if we acted like dicks. The best settlements are fair to both sides. We're going to get between $50 and $100 million from them, and keep all future revenues. We won.

If you don't feel like you were beaten about the head, neck, and face, did you really settle anything of consequence?

I get what you're saying about Texas and such but if your OSU you have to at least look at schools in those areas. Plus, it would most likely be football only league and you'd only really travel east maybe 2-3 times. Let's face it, it's about TV, recruiting, etc. Getting a foot in to the Texas/south market would be big.

Yeah, we'll let those (alleged) smart people from Cal and Stanford do that for us. Rash decisions have consequences.

If you're going to go far flung then you need to have geographic pods where the teams in the pods can mainly play each other. The Big 12 can possibly do this but we wouldn't have enough eastern teams with the teams mentioned. The problem with staying regional (which I wish we could do) is I don't think 8 teams is enough to attract decent media notice and a good media deal. And I don't want any MWC teams other than the ones mentioned and I don't think the addition of the others would help with a media contract. Possibilities I have thought of (and probably mainly fantasies) are: 1.) ACC implodes entirely, Stanford and Cal are looking for a home and BiG10 says "No." and/or 2.) Four corner schools become unhappy in Big12. Supposedly Colorado was never happy in Pac12 so doubt they are a possibility. Have heard Utah unhappy with Big12 already and AD at ASU was never hot on the idea. Who knows? Ideal for me would be regional conference of 10 or 12 schools.
