what are the best parking options around the rose bowl ? (shuttles, mass transit, golf course parking ? ) thanks Betting there will not be much of a crowd. Golf course right across from the stadium area will be perfect. Rose Bowl like Coliseum sort of sux. If your not getting seats from UCLA or secondary market you feel like you're a mile from the field.

It takes a long time to get in and out of the canyon. The shuttle line was about 1/4 mile long but efficient. Remember, not much of a crowd is more than a game at Reser.

We have always parked on the golf course, except for the time we took our 5th wheel and had to park in the RV area southwest of the entrance next to the hillside.

Have been there twice in last 6-8 years and have parked in downtown Pasadena and took the Shuttle down into the Canyon to the Rose Bowl. Very cheap, very fast, and very efficient. Also if you arrive in Pasadena early, there are some great restaurants and bars nearby in Old Pasadena. Have always found UCLA fans to be good eggs.

Went to the Game a few Years ago when we lost at the End on a Field Goal. Parked in Golf Course where a large Balloon said 2. Quite an adventure finding Car afterwards as it was a Rental. Very massive place Bathrooms not convenient. Very Tame environment.

Very massive place Bathrooms not convenient. Very Tame environment. Too funny. When I first moved to San Diego from Oregon some 25+ years ago I met a bunch of Ducks from Grants Pass who lived in the SF Valley, so we'd go to games at the Rose Bowl whenever the Ducks or Beavs were in town. Back then we didn't have key fobs with security alarm buttons, so more than once we left the game after too many beers and could not find the damn car on the golf course! To the OP, I don't know if its improved but getting in and out of there can be a nightmare. The guy with the Shuttle plan from DT Pasadena probably has it right, and Downtown Pasadena is a fun hang. As for the Rose Bowl itself, pretty awesome place just for the history of it and relevance to college football, although as noted above bathrooms not convenient and depending where you sit, if you are in the middle of a row, plan on saying excuse me about 100 times to get to an aisle.

I've parked in golf course and never had any issues, but I've also never been in a rush to get in or get out as I was staying fairly close by. As someone above said, it's a pretty laid back environment. You can get 65000 people in there and it still feels kind of empty.
One of my all-time favorite games was in person down there - 2000 Beavs vs UCLA. 4'9" Johnny Smith throws for 350. McCall and Simonton each run for 100+, Maurer gets hit on a pass reception, ball goes directly into the arms of Robert Prescott for a long TD. McCall rips off a 60? 70? yard TD late to more or less seal the deal. That game for me was when I started thinking- hey, we might be legit! That was a fun one.

I've been to two Beaver games there and one Rose Bowl (USC-Illinois). I've parked just south of the 134 and west of Orange Grove Blvd. It's about a one mile walk - very similar to parking north of Harrison and walking to Reser. Golf course parking is expensive and it take more than 30 minutes of stop and go to get your car there.

And when a light rain began to fall all the 'ruin fans were seen scurrying towards the tunnels and/or exits.....but not the Beaver fans. Too funny and a great memory.

Sure your seats are at a weird angle and it's not very comfortable, but it's Fenway Park for Riley's sake! (see what I did there?) I too was struck by how quiet it was....sound isn't held in there very well, but I enjoyed the experience as it was about 80 degrees on a perfect fall day in SoCal, it was on a natural grass field that had hosted games that I watched with my family on New Year's Day growing up...it was almost like going back in time a little bit. Like someone else above mentioned, I had no intention of seeing a game there unless we were playing in January, but I softened my rule when I was offered a free trip down there. Too good of an offer to pass up.

I went to the 2013 Stanford-Wisconsin Rose Bowl (Cardinal won, 20-14) with a packed stadium. I parked on the golf course just north of the stadium and it took at least 1 hour (and I actually think more) to get to a parking space once I got near the stadium. There are very few bathrooms around the parking lot, so use the stadium if you need to. Getting out will take you just as long as getting in.
It is a beautiful setting.

Too good of an offer to pass up. Just as said "sort of sux"... and it would include Fenway since you bring it up altbough no comparing the areas around the respective stadiums. I was talking about the seats, seating, view, bathroom accessibility. The area and Pasadena are great. But, once you get past the history of it, not a great view for seeing the actual game... (Fenway is historic, but seats were made for a a 5'6", 130 lb person... so once past the fact you're in Fenway and the price you may have paid... not great for comfy viewing... but, I keep going back). Attending if your team is actually in the Rose Bowl game itself would drastically diminish any downside mentioned above. The shuttle is the best way to go...
