I am a GA fan. I like where I believe the program is heading, but damn! Why does he struggle with managing QBs so much? Let McM finish out the season. The QB musical chairs is hurting this team. Maybe I am in the minority, but IMO if McM was named the starter from the Opener vs Weber St last year. He and this team offensively are a much better.

I can't wait until next year when we add Luton and Moran to this carousel.

I can't either - hopefully one of them can run AND throw.

I'm so hoping Luton is the QB answer next year, with garretson being back up.

Dislike. If Blount is secretly a great FG kicker, then I'm all for him kicking. Quarterbacking? Not so much.. At this rate, Uncle Rico is starting Civil War.

It's not like McMaryion has seized control of the starting job and run away with it, he's completing 51% of his passes and he's not much of a running threat. He was very good against Wazzu and had some moments last week too, but the blocking has been better since he took over. I'm not sure why it's a bad idea to at least take a look at what Blount can do with, hopefully, a better offensive line in front of him. And it allows us to expand the playbook to mix in some QB running plays, which may help keep UCLA off balance, which is a great idea. I don't think this is some clear-cut decision that Andersen is absolutely blowing.

If you have 2 qbs, you have none.

You can point to several passes that were not where they should have been. If he makes that pass to Villamin against Wazzu that he made to Bolden against Stanford, Oregon State is 3-6 rather than 2-7. I cannot help but think that this is like Canfield/Moevao in the 2007-2009 era. Moevao was quicker and tougher, but Canfield was a better all-around quarterback. McMaryion looks quicker and tougher. Blount looks green, but he appears to be a more accurate quarterback. I do not trust this staff much offensively at the moment, but I trust that they see something in Blount.

If you have 2 qbs, you have none. Correct. You have to let a QB grow. Making these knee jerk reactions after 1-2 games is crap. I am seriously questioning this staff's ability to develop and evaluate QBs. Sure McMaryion has a not-so-great outing, he still carries more experience than Blount. You are simply stunting development and confidence at this point. Guy gave you one pretty darn good game, and one not so great game. Let McM settle in a bit. Gotta question this one.

what a way to boost confidence in the offense!! LOL why can't he just be satisfied with the old fashioned wait until they stink and then go to the bull pen?

It's funny, we change quarterbacks like we change underwear, but are hesitant to try a new kicker!

Ive once saw or read somewhere that Blount is a pro style QB?? If that's the case, is GA converting him into a mobile QB from pocket passer? Cuz I honestly don't mind the QB changes, all GA is trying to do is find the right peace for the puzzle at the QB spot.

If you have 2 qbs, you have none. Actually, the saying is if you have 2 QBs, you don't have one. Means the same and I agree unless you have 1st and goal at the 2 and have a mobile 6-5, 250 guy who can run a power sneak.

If you have 2 qbs, you have none. Especially when one is no where near a D1 QB. What... are we going to be so "tricky" as we are with our wildcat... what happened to Seth with the option to throw or run the read option? So Blount in... read option with keeps posdibke... McM gives only and the thrower?! Any chance for developing offensive confidence and continuity goes out the window. New cadence and rhythm. Just as we take baby steps forward we decide this? Just don't get this staff. You just have to wonder... GA just has to have "his" guys in the mix no matter what? Grasping at straws... again.

Has zero offensive input except for QB play? If you remember he stated such yet was his decision alone to put Blount in. Makes zero sense... and our OCs seem to not truly have full control of the offense (let alone the ability to call plays) and HC actuall does have input. Crazy crazy circus.
