It is kind of hard to know if he has the "stuff" or not. One thing is for sure, he does not have a Pac-12 quality QB. I have my doubts that the QB on redshirt is good enough to be a great player in the Pac-12 either. This is the most dismal season ever, I'm glad it is over. It's ok, some of us were on board before 1997. We know better. I'm 71 years old and a graduate of OSU, I have been watching the Beav's for 40 years. My wife and I have donated over 16K to OSU and now we are the doormat of the league again! I had two sons play football and I have three grandsons that play now. I attend at least three football games a week during the season. If you" know better" then tell me which guy on the team at QB that is going to take us to the top instead of flicking $hit on me.

Donate on top of tix? Cuz my my 40 years of tix top 16k let alone extra donations. And, I had kids play football and coached at the highest and lowest high school levels. Does that make me an expert on what is or isn't a D1 QB? Lol The same logic you use to defend Baldwin could be used conversely. With the lack of intelligent play calling, the randomness of the QB evaluation process where the co #1 gets little playing time and then sides to #3 behind the supposed distant #3. MAYBE it's hard to tell if we have a D1 QB with this OC??

Is no one willing to choose one of our present QB's to take us to the top, or even halfway? By the way I am pretty proud of all the Beaver Fans the stepped up and made the donations that helped build the present facilities. I am also frustrated, falling into the cellar again should have never happened. We had it going pretty good for a while. It is like a whole bunch of influential people fell asleep on the job.

Gotta disagree with you. Nobody "fell asleep." Baseball has only made one World Series in the past decade after going to three in a row and constantly upgrading facilities and highly regarded recruiting classes year after year. I don't hear anyone questioning Pat Casey, yet there seems to be this expectation that a football program should never regress. It's not just here, Richt and Miles were both on the chopping block despite being nationally ranked and in the conversation for division/conference championships year after year. The law of averages says the Beavs will be better next season. We might get 3 wins, we might get 5. We might catch lightning in a bottle and get 8. The next year people will be talking Rose Bowls. If we go 6-6 in year 3, we will all be on here belly aching about unimaginative play calling and questionable defensive alignments. The best we can ask for is a chance to win every game we play and coaches and players we can be proud of representing our university. Everything else is window dressing.

Current QB's who are actually active? No QB on roster? Sure, he can take OSU halfway.

Hollingsworth is out according to his dad. That's one. Not sure how to react to that one, but the D line gets even thinner I guess.

You just can't tell. Anybody that looked at Jonathan Smith in 1998 sitting behind Terrance Bryant and told you he was taking OSU to 11-1 and the Fiesta Bowl in 2 years is a G-D liar... Every single QB on our roster is capable. it all just depends. It depends on the team around them, the offense we give them, the defense. all of it. Remember, there are guys out there like John Elway that never go to a bowl game and quarterback losing teams in college that go on to win superbowls, and there are guys like Ken Dorsey that never sniff the NFL despite being something like 30-2 or whatever in their career. Just depends. QB is a very important position, but it is not the only one.

He was more than just a "throw in" walk on while recruiting teammates??? Wow... nice sarcasm...

LMAO... ya, cuz we all remember back to posts 17 years ago... maybe you have a scrap book of them??? I worked directly with some of offensive coaches as often as my schedule would allow that summer just to learn from them on the field and in meetings. TB was seen as one of the smoothest QB prospects MR had seen. Not until he was in school/in the system was his big deficiency noticed... a glaring lack of focus to detail and willingness for extra work. I can tell you straight up, JS was seen as a "nice little player"... nothing more. Was never in the conversation as a potential starter... do you know who was "supposed" to be the back up??? Because of injury and academic issues he was not and the JS legend began...
