Its too hard to recruit kids to Corvallis, or so I was told. That's the popular narrative; can't recruit to Corvallis. But you can to Pullman, Blacksburg, College Station, Boulder, Lincoln... It's not the city that makes it more difficult to recruit. It's the lack of winning. To be fair, Mike Riley didn't recruit very well even when the Beavers were winning!

Where would Wazzu be if they'd fired Leach after those first three years?

Coog Defense carries the day Truth or headline from the onion? Pretty complete game on both sides of the ball! SC didn't get much of a break from the zebras... but, were out played every which way.

Where would Wazzu be if they'd fired Leach after those first three years? There was never ever a hint or chance of that. Moos loves the guy and did a huge sale job to get Leach... never a prayer he was getting fired. PS- Leach is a genesis... a football guru with a fantastic scheme and sticks to it. So, I hope your post had no implications toward OSU and GAG... cuz there is absolutely zero correlation.

Fans want Andersen gone.

Where would Wazzu be if they'd fired Leach after those first three years? Hey, if CGA can accumulate 12 wins by the end of his 3rd season, I'd be all for keeping him. SaveSave

You need to study up on what a direct correlation is... because as of now they're is zero between the three situations until "our horse" wins games.

Were WAZZU fans really upset that Leach had made them better than they were before and led them to their first bowl game after a 9 year drought? If those fans existed, then fans were stupid. What's not stupid is people who can see that CGA has taken a once reputable program and drilled it straight into the ground. A guy with that track record should expect to get fired, as should fans of his team. SaveSave

Its too hard to recruit kids to Corvallis, or so I was told. Hercules Mata'afa - 3* recruit - Converted LB Daniel Etuale - 3* recruit Nnamdi Oguayo - 2* recruit Frankie Luvu - 3* recruit - best offer was from Iowa St. Jahad Woods - 3* recruit - no other offers listed Isaac Dotson - 3* recruit - Converted QB Hunter Dale - 3* recruit Darrien Molton - 3* recruit Robert Taylor - 3* JC transfer Jalen Thompson - 3* recruit Marcellus Pippins - 3* recruit Not one four star on in their starting defense. Luke Falk was a walk on. They're not recruiting better than us, they're recruiting smarter and developing better. They recruit to a SYSTEM and then have excellent coaches who DEVELOP players to fit and play their asses off in that system. With a little luck, that formula will produce 9 win seasons at places like OSU or WSU.
