It will be interesting to see what gets confirmed. If I’m Mike, this seems ideal. A fraction of the stress as being a paid staff member, but gets to be involved enough to avoid total boredom in retirement.

I believe this one. AngryBeaver took a little twitter conjecture and tried to make it fact. His twitter rantings were bordering insanity.

The picture just proved he had gone over the edge.

The picture just proved he had gone over the edge. Yes, he doesn't want Riley on staff. I don't either to be honest. And when I texted a group of OSU alum buddies not a single one of them thought it was a good idea. I think its a mistake. So do others. He gets a little overly passionate about it but that doesn't make him wrong.

I did not like the hire. Most my buddies did.

I believe this one. AngryBeaver took a little twitter conjecture and tried to make it fact. His twitter rantings were bordering insanity. Actually it was 02Beav that had the post, not me. I replied to his post and agreed with him that it could be a very good thing for several reasons... And then made a comment on the “Riley as QB coach post that refered to 02Beav’s post as well. I’m okay with whatever direction Coach Jonathan Smith wants to go. Whatever way, he will have reasoning behind it. The whole “team thing” on the coaching staff is important. I was starting to have doubts on validity when by noon today, none of the official sports reporters had published articles on it.

However, I expect every single one would think it was a good idea. Tie? I'll let you know the official results in 4-5 days.

All I said is some people think its a mistake. Nothing in your post counters that. I don't care if your friends and you think its the best idea in the world, that doesn't make you right just as I made no claim I was right. Just that I think its a bad idea. We won't know if its a good idea or bad idea until it happens and we see the results. Even then we probably won't agree. Which is fine by me. You realize we aren't required to have a hive mind with your and your friends right?

More people trusted that picture than Football Scoop.
