Geez! Let it go. This is a new era. How about you just don't post on the threads you have no interest in? It's been said EVERY time you moan about these posts - this will be a topic of conversation for a dozen years, at least. I'd suggest you get used to it, and learn to ignore these posts, because you will NOT stop the conversations from happening. SaveSaveThe problem is that sorting through the crap to get to good, insightful, and educational posts is time consuming. I don't post eighty percent of the things I think of either because someone else has made the point better than I or my post just wouldn't contribute much to the conversation. Unlike some posters on this board, I don't need to see my name tied to a post. But sorting through ten pages of a thread to find the 8 or 9 quality posts is, quite honestly, getting more and more difficult to justify. I was concerned that this one was going to be another ten-pager on how crappy Andersen and his crew were to player X or Y or Z. Then we'd get endless speculation on whether player A was really injured or not. You get my drift. So, I stand by my post.

There are other boards you can go to...... where you don’t have to “weed” through posts you deem not worthy.

By constantly complaining about something you will never succeed in eliminating, you're just adding to the "crap" you have to sort through. The simplest solution is to ignore the threads that include 3M or Andersen, since you don't seem to like them. SaveSave

Meh, jdogge is just mad that 1111 was right about GA the whole time. He wants everyone to stop posting reminders that GA sucked, that 1111 was right, and that he was wrong. Big deal, keep bashing GA and put jdogge on ignore.

If anyone deserves bashing in every thread, it’s Andersen. The last three years were a complete disaster, and I don’t think we can point to one single aspect of the program that is in a better position than it was when he took over. Then you would be opposite what nearly every media outlet who has covered Oregon State has said; that our program is in better shape now then when GA took over. If you can find ONE media article that says that we are in worse shape, please link it. I don't think you can. You can bash GA's staff for his handling of our quarterbacks and for coaching, but not for the players he brought in.

As far as I know the only "media" claiming such unsupported nonsense is BJW, who also happens to be an employee of the AD. And seriously, GA did not bring in any higher caliber athletes than the previous regime (that actually qualified). Your entire post is devoid of logic.

We really don't need the media to tell us the difference between OSU 2018 and OSU 2015. All we need are eyeballs and an unbiased perception. SaveSave

YES this topic needs to be discussed. GAG destroyed a football program through incompetence and insanity. Wherever he attempts to work must have access to the full picture of what he did along his trail of destruction.

Well....destruction or construction....the unearthing, labeling, proving or disproving of GA's merits will do absolutely nothing for the future of OSU.

Would you mind linking the article that quotes Jim Wilson please? There has been so much discussion on this subject but I've yet to see the actual quote(s). I remember him saying something about the program being in better shape during a post game show, but thought it was more qualified or specific than how it's been represented here. I actually poked around (briefly) to see if the post game shows were archived so I could hear exactly what it was that he said. Outside of that post game show, I am not aware of him addressing the subject. I've seen posters paraphrase and discuss the general comments, but I'd like to hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak.

Outside of that post game show, I am not aware of him addressing the subject. I've seen posters paraphrase and discuss the general comments, but I'd like to hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak. I only recall his comments being on the radio as well, although I am pretty sure I heard him talk about it on multiple occasions... I would also wager to guess that if pressed on it now he would backtrack big time, over a bunch of qualifications, and realign himself with Jonathan Smith and Mike Riley immediately... It's odd how seriously some of the folks take a ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES comments... OF COURSE the Oregon State Radio personalities are going to treat the current head coach with some kid gloves and extra doses of benefit of the doubt. IMHO the whole "QA has the program in a better place" talk was just that. Talk. There was nothing else good Jim Wilson could point to as a positive so he made one up, sue him. I never once heard him say it after QA left it was only during the season when they were still trying to find ANYTHING positive to talk about. And Wilson was sure to say the "program" meaning the facilities are improved (not that QA had anything to do with that) the graduation rates, etc. I don't actually ever remember hearing Wilson say that QA himself left the program in a better state, just that the program IS in a better place... And like I said earlier he certainly wasn't saying it after QA left and Rome fully fell... Bottom line, Jim Wilson is a radio personality with some really good insights and by position HAS to be OSU positive... I guarantee the next time he is on the radio he will be telling glowing stories about his interactions with Smith and Riley over the years and about how everything feels SO MUCH BETTER now that QA is gone and the Calvary has arrived...
