If we can't do Ground Chuck, we are in trouble. Luton throws a much better ball, but can't read $hit. Blount reads and react but lacks in the arm department. Sigh.

I thought Blount had the best touch by far in the passing game. Colletto and Luton were both ok, Colletto with maybe an edge for his running ability. I somehow missed most of Willard, ni such thing as a Williams at QB as far as I can tell, did see one nice pass but he didn't stand out to me. Didn't notice Moran at all, did he actually play a down at QB? Moran is at WR... Willard is 15 at QB... played sparingly, maybe one short series. Yep. I was kind of trying to politely say I disagreed with a bunch of the OP’s observations.

We obviously have big concerns at QB and on offense in general, but I am happy to see the defense make plays and get the better of the offense in a spring scrimmage. That's the way it should be. I'll always take a stout defense and an offense that keeps working to improve. What I can't stand is the opposite; a lousy defense just sucks all the hope out of you when watching a game. Let's hope the defense starts to get some attitude and swagger back...
GO BEAVS!

CBs were resting too. The offense should have been able to take advantage more than they did.

I have faith we will see much better play this year, but we will still be bottom tier until some recruiting magic and development can happen.

Seeing Bray and Tibesar in action I have renewed hope for our defense and the future.
I don't know what Cal's win loss total was last year, but they were a fun team to watch. Being a Beaver football fan for so long I guess I'm a sucker for the underdog so seeing a bunch of unknowns, including walkons, play with passion and compete gave me some respect for Cal that I don't recall ever having before.
It also makes me confident we can see the same thing here this season with new energy and know how. I don't believe all our coaches the past few years were inept, they just had nobody to steer them all in the same direction.
This staff, under the direction of JS, will be united in purpose and all heading in one direction.

I'd like to give a special shoutout to @beaverfever for posting the all vids. You're the man, I don't have time to go find these but if they're on bennyshouse I will watch every one.

Trent Bray says, “Stop accepting being blocked.” Amen! If we just make that one improvement this year, I will enjoy watching our team 200x more. Add ‘keeping your feet during a tackle’, and I may explode. I have great confidence with fundamentals like this being taught.
