The big 10 and pac12 follow Dr. Fauci's advice the other leagues follow the advice of some guy who says like magic it will be gone in a month or two. I will follow Dr. Fauci. Anthony Fauci January 21, 2020 newsmax interview quote “this is not a major threat to the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States should be worried about”. Anthony should work at the house of pancakes. Fauci has actually changed his mind based on more facts. The guy that thought it would magically disappear hasn't changed

If we ever needed a sign of how utterly soft our conference is, this week has shown it. While the Big 12, SEC and ACC are attempting to continue on and schedule a season the Pac 12 folded like a cheap tent at the first sign of adversity. Adversity, what you teach young players from the age of 8 years old that they must overcome, we collapsed under the weight of it. At least a few Universities and Coaches in the Big10 have complained or are even trying to go around the cancellation, but Pac 12 AD's, Presidents, and coaches have all rolled over to accept the inevitable, I mean if it is going to happen at least enjoy it right. Releasing pansy assed press releases about how they regret the cancellation but C'est la vie. P*ssies. P*ssies, and you can't win being P*ssies in this sport. I expect USC, Washington and others to flee this pansy conference at the first available opportunity. Soft as butter, and that's the way the conference has played the last 10 years. A culture of football failure that may never be overcome now. ^Nominee for silliest post of the year. Winner of the biggest dumbsh!t of the year with that post

Interesting facts Average age of person dying from Covid: 78 Average lifespan for person in USA: 78 Percentage of overall Covid deaths for college students: 0.2% There’s more deaths from kids partying in college and living life than the friggin Covid. Yes, college students with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, family friends, coaches, instructors, TAs, religious leaders, neighbors, etc., all of whom can be infected by that asymptomatic college student.

No, Biden isn’t going to automatically be able to solve it, but at least he acknowledges the virus is real and won’t recommend that people inject themselves with bleach. That’s a start. Trump doesn’t acknowledge the virus is real? I know he was wrong on the bleach it didn’t do a damm thing to prevent me from getting it. Made me pee white for a month!

I don't know if the Pac-12 or Big Ten have made the right choice but I am honestly baffled by your continued references to the players being safer in the "controlled environment" of a football program. From the aftermath of a meeting some of the players had with Larry Scott to discuss, among other things, the idea of a controlled environment: While the player group asked for daily testing and a consistent conference-wide testing policy, Scott informed them that neither was possible, according to the players' letter, which said, "You [Scott] claimed necessary tests were 'unavailable' and that it would be 'impossible' to mandate testing and best practice COVID precautions conference wide."In this "controlled environment" (which doesn't sound as if it would be very controlled) the players and coaches would not only be exposed to all of their teammates and staff on a daily basis, they would be exposed to the players and staff from other teams on a weekly basis. They will be exposed during travel. If there was daily testing (which there apparently couldn't be) it would only detect after the fact that one or more players had been exposed at some point in their practice, travel, and games. MLB has been trying to make a go of this "controlled environment", with a much better financed and supported approach that "emphasizes contact tracing and rapid testing". Even with that, there have been at least 29 games missed by at least 11 different teams due to Covid-19 exposure. Of course MLB plays a lot more games than NCAA Football so they miss a lot of games just by being off for a week, but that also means that MLB can still call it a "season" if several games are missed. I don't think that will work in college football. Well said. The testing aspect alone is currently garbage in this country. Test results often don’t come back for a week or two, so they’re basically useless. By then, a college football team has played one or two more games and infected who knows how many more people. Honestly, it was going to be way too heavy of lift to try to make it happen and address the players’ concerns. Which is why you’ve already seen a ton of the small schools bow out (since there’s no way they can afford it), and why even the Big 12, ACC, and SEC will likely eventually join the Big Ten and Pac-12 on the sidelines. I keep hearing that about testing but our company has tested a half dozen plus (all negative) and We get results back usually the next day. Just had one done this week. Next day result (negative). Through the drug testing lab we regularly use. So I can’t help but totally disagree with you on that. (Portland Metropolitan Area)

And therein lies the problem - it’s not consistent everywhere.

So I'm going to assume that you wrote this to be inflammatory. Either you're not a fan, and are stirring the pot for no reason other than to have fun. Or you're not the kind of fan we want/need, with your negativity and poor attitude. In either case feel free to stay or go. Just know you have made little impression here other than devalue yourself and/or any future opinion you may have. Maybe, but here is a link to the last time I went all negative and posted that we were getting fed a turd sandwich. Lots of people thought I was wrong then. We shall see. bennyshouse.com/thread/70/why-pussyfoot-staff-completely-fubared

Fauci has actually changed his mind based on more facts. The guy that thought it would magically disappear hasn't changed Well after this is all over tony can tell us what we should have done every step of the way and write a book on it. Fauci has done his best. Well, except for that heinous first pitch, that was pathetic. But face it-as educated and experienced as he is, he doesn’t know. None of the slam dunk experts on this board know. The President doesn’t know, Pelosi and Schumer don’t know, Biden isn’t sure where he is, Putin, Hillary, neither white or black Jake from State Farm know, No Governors know, players don’t know, school administrators don’t know, Larry Scott doesn’t know but knows he’s still getting paid, nobody knows the answer. But to say it’s not being politicized would be burying ones head in the sand. I watch the numbers in my state and county daily. I read a lot. In that area, the numbers don’t bear out the need to hammer the economy, keep kids out of schools, and keep restricting businesses. Masks? Sure, fine, whatever. Distancing, cleanliness obviously and absolutely. Using math, real life experience, and logic, I don’t agree with all the restrictions in place. But that’s just me and my opinion. Note that I didn’t end it with something akin to “period!”

Anytime someone ends a statement with “Period!” that’s a telltale sign that they’re completely FOS. Check out that clip of Sean Spicer discussing Trump’s inauguration crowd if you don’t believe me.
