That is the salient question. My suggestion? Shrink the gap between the ask of season ticket holders, and the prices charged by the university to one and done non season ticket holders. If the open market on Seat Geek, etc is X for a ticket to Y game, it is not reasonable to expect season ticket holders to pay a multiple of 3, 5 or 10 times that price.
I think it is, or should be, everyone's goal to have a full Reser stadium for each home game, and for me (easy for me to say), I would rather have a full Reser at a lower average ticket price, than a half full Reser at a much higher average ticket price. You create resentment when as a season ticket holder you are sitting next to someone that is all giddy they got their seat for $20.00 on Seat Geek, and you paid $200.00 as a "loyal" season ticket holder. Tough issue - not gonna lie. Well, if you can't make the Civil War and you sell your tickets on seat geek for the price you paid for the entire season is that fair to the University? My advice is stop worrying about it. Sometimes you get the bear, and sometimes the bear gets you. Too soon.

Easy to kick a man when he’s down, even while sucking off the Ducks’ dick. That is one perspective - the other is an encouragement for us to do more, especially given what we are facing, the situation we are in. IDK - I think being open to suggestions is a good thing. Definitely we could be doing more, but he isn't helping the situation by calling it out in the state's newspaper. In fact, he's hurting more than helping. A positive story right now could really help. He has a choice. He's a writer and he is well aware of the situation. He chose to put that particular spin on it while contrasting it with how the Duck's spring game will fill the stadium. He can go duck off.

I thought we weren't allowed to use that term anymore - even though we all do. Good luck selling this year's game in September for anything close to what they used to sell for. I think you are referencing an old paradigm that no longer exists.

I agree, going to a CW game in September is preferable to cold and wet in late November. Still salty however about their part in the blow up of the conference.
Until we are able to figure something out long term, over time, it will be increasingly difficult to have an evenly matched game. September or November, just want to see a competitive game. Even though Iowa and Iowa State are not in the same conferences, both are in power conferences.

I know I'm late here, but...
It sure was enjoyable to watch the spring game. No worry about NIL, conferences, or facilities. Just watching the Beavs play ball. Just pure enjoyment.
I wish the offense was a little better, but I'm expecting it to progress.

Had to look at the byline - thought he was making a comeback.

He calls for this incredible bold action though we have no conference $ beyond survival money and a couple of times caveats everything with "yeah, I know you have no Phil Knight". No kidding? It's much easier to be bold if you have $100 million ready to drop. He also picks out one response from someone he believes is from OSU and based upon the comment "great column" proceeds to validate his entire attitude and theory. Talk about confirmation bias.

Perfaps a bit of "Let them eat cake..." attitude. After getting salt in our wounds these last few months, the pain might go away after a while and he could maybe come up with some good ideas for us 😀

Typical of the o. without PK money uo would be in the same boat we are in. He sort of mentions it but it is the driving factor in their 'success'.

Oram triples down with two bashing articles and a podcast and Brenna Greene of KOIN Portland jumps in. Better have a strong drink when listening to it,

Only Brenna's 14:00 to 18 minute mark does make sense

My response: you don’t get it. uofOwned has more money than they know what to do with. Easy to be a marketing genius when you have an unlimited budget to hire a circus and sky-writers or whatever suits your fancy. More like uofOwned? Like telling a carpenter to be more like Elon Musk. Really weak. Marketing, uniforms, bands, Italian marble and Ferrari leather and billboards in times square cost money. That’s the real world. Could they do better? Yes. But your smug condescension is not winning any of us over, but it works great with Nike fan boys. They’re lapping it up and really that seems to be your goal. Telling OSU to be more like Phil’s fighting swoosh bags? Is there anything you could have written to antagonize Beavers fans more? Or please your entitled, delusional duck fan base? But again, your job is to get clicks. Well done, but you won’t get any more of mine.
Seriously, I have no interest in reading any more of his opinions and won’t. Call me bitter and you’d be correct. But does any Beaver fan want to read that sh!t right now? Read the freaking room. He’s like a canzano buker love child. Not my cup of tea but JMHO. He’s entitled to his, I’m entitled to mine.

Sometimes you just have to shut up and take the criticism.
