It will probably be Luton.

I hope we can do much better than that. But, athletic family. Big brother played QB at Wyoming and Vandy, little sister plays volleyball at Colorado.

Come on over. It's been a while since we've had a legit QB competition with a competent QB evaluator. More the merrier.

Won't help us next year, however there are young West Coast QB's on the nebraska roster I'd like to see transfer to OSU. Not sure they'll be a good fit in the new offense there so perhaps a great opportunity for us to help take them off their hands.

How are people saying no to this? How would he not help?
I am baffled. To me, adding him is a no brainer.

ya a 4 star QB from an elite program we will take him in a heart beat Stars are overrated and can be deceiving. We should actually have good guys coming back and new guys coming in! Should be a great competition with Luton probably leading the way. Smitty recruited Luton when he was at Boise St. Luton, if cleared, could be coached up to be a very legit QB in this conference! Let's hope Seth Collins comes back at WR (healthy and ready) as well! Go Beavs!

Remember that Joey 5-Picks' backup at Zero spent some time in the NFL. It's possible to be a quality Pac 12 QB and still be a backup.

Luton could be a very legit QB but if he goes down again is there a serviceable backup? I don't see that there's a risk in bringing in someone, who is a know quantity to CJS, to compete for the starting or backup roll. Especially while those new guys learn the system and speed of the game. Moran was brought back from the defensive side to play QB at the end of the season so I don't see it as a position of strength next season.

He's a grad transfer. No wait for eligibility. Was in reference to O'brien or Gebbia transferring.

Was in reference to O'brien or Gebbia transferring. Petras > either of them Sorry, not knowable. I have no reason to believe he won't be great. Tongue in cheek(kind of) any QB the previous staff had a hand in add a bit of concern....lol. Looks like a fine young prospect, wouldn't go so far as to claim he's on par or better than Gebbia/O'brien just yet. I do like his size, dependent upon what our offense will look like.
