I can tailgate in my driveway - saves a lot of time, and I can have neighbors join me. That is a far better crowd experience. You need new friends. meanwhile, the internet still cant find mike riley, you uncaring bastard

Riley - perhaps the only football coach in existence that cannot get enough of 'mediocrity' And yet, every single one of us would loose our f%#*ing minds if we could some how just be mediocre next year and only win 8 games and go to a bowl game. Ho-hum, amitrite?

One thing we can agree on... I like Smith as a coach, not as a head coach. There are things that count in CFB that are way important than 'Coming Home'. To me, that is like saying - we couldn't hire a proven commodity, so we went with 'an experiment'. Would have been a better approach to hire an SEC PHENOM ( young assistant ). I am still staying away ffrom Reser as others have noted - it is too much time wasted to go through anticipation, to disappointment , to anger, then to total despair - every frickin' weekend. . Speak for yourself.

Thank goodness many of "the rest of us" do not look at it that way - so, question - if we only come to Reser when the team is winning more games than losing, how exactly does that make you any different than the brainless, loud, obnoxious bandwagon fans supporting tsdtr? Please tell.

Where is Mike Riley ??....... Dee would like to know.... coaching Seattle experimental football league or whatever it's called. He will not be doing anything with beaver football season, per Kerry Eggers. Can we close this topic now?

Riley’s conference record was barely above .500.
That was good enough for a lot of you. His results were trending downwards and his support was decaying. His tenure was obviously better than what we’ve had the past couple years, but sometimes you gotta blow s%#t up and start from scratch.
Riley left OSU 2x. He was never forced out. Left for better jobs.
I don’t blame him for leaving. I don’t blame OSU for hiring GAG. Looked like a homerun hire.

Common sense and very little sleuthing showed it was never going to be a great hire, let alone a HR. GAG had issues at every level of human/ player interactions and relationships. The abrupt departure of MR and initial excitement of a big time P5 coach's interest lead those in power to overlook or completely ignore(?) obvious signs of big problems. A more thorough yet very simple investigation of those surrounding the program should, would have, shown huge red flags. The GAG hire was a complete fiasco from the start, and a breakdown in the trust of leadership to run this "ship".

I’d love to see any/all of your critical posts on the GA hire from around the time of the announcement.
