All I can say is Luton better be the real deal and this team has to make a bowl game this year. If not, I'm officially done with Andersen.

Not really surprised. The guy continued to prove himself again and again and just didn't seem to be rewarded for it.
Well, it's "all in" now on Luton. I wish him the best but continue to be puzzled by GA's approach.
As for 3M-B, I hope he finds the chance to play and shine where ever he may go. I really appreciate his efforts and leading us to victory in the Civil War.

He looked great in the scrimmage, but he had the first unit OL and receivers against number 2 defense. Marcus looked good against the first unit defense that was jailbreak in against the second unit offense. It also appeared to me that DG was the clear favorite of the coaches as the number 2 guy. JMHO opinion on that. We will see how Luton does against heavy pressure, and he is going to see that early and often. The quality running backs will help, but ... GA has chosen his path. No excuses of any kind though GA hasn't been an excuse guy. We will see. Go Beavers!!!

I guess DG will be our starter when Luton sucks? What a joke GA is in terms of QB management..

Hope the coaching staff is right about Luton. Don't blame 3M in the least, he's done all he can to prove himself and keeps getting pushed aside by this staff. Kind of a make or break type moment for CGA and company this year with the QBs.

Well now the only question I have is was this an actual QB competition, or were they stringing McMaryion along in the hopes he'd run out of time to transfer and stick around to be a backup for 2017? I feel for the kid, because he probably could've found a place to play had the decision been announced officially in the spring. It's possible that he lost that option because Luton got sick. That's some terrible luck.

I can't blame a guy for wanting to play. But one year at Utah State, GA went through 5 qbs.
I think it will be tough for him to find a spot. Rosters are set and playbooks learned. He's not likely to play before mid-October as he has to find a program, get enrolled, move and learn about his teammates, coaches and the playbook. And then win the job.
I wish him luck and thank him for his time at OSU.

Exactly, I'm a big GA guy, but I don't know how you run off the only QB to beat the dorks in the last 8 years... Luton sucked in the Spring Game (a pick 6 and what should have been 2 more of them if not for butterfinger LB's!). Read he was playing against the 2's for the Fall Scrimmage? Also read multiple times that he is still working on timing issues and has been over/under throwing receivers. I think we have a new DA 2.0, lots of stats but critical game ending turnovers trying to jam the ball into his receivers.

We would be fortunate if Luton is akin to Derek Anderson - very fortunate indeed. If you think DA 2.0 would be a step down from 3M, then you need to watch more football.

If you think DA 2.0 would be a step down fro3MM, then you need to watch more football. mcmaryion-berry probably had one foot out the door when a JC tfer signed. If he wasn't totally with the program then it probably influenced the coaching decision to go with Looton and DG. Nobody here knows any more than i do so i can speculate on this side of it too and your opinion isn't any more valid than mine. I will not be butthurt if you disagree but keep it civil. I am bummed about this and in no mood for back and forth about CGA this CGA that. Colorado State. Three weeks.
