Softballs 1111 - Oh., I am so hurt by comments from a total moron. If you only knew... but I think looking at other reports and about 75% of the posters on this board, plus Coach Smith no -less, that you are the Village Idiot. Virtually everyone is glad that 'aw shucks ' is GONE and he will not ever grace our beautiful campus again. All of a sudden he loves San Antonio ( watch his uber sickening press conference ), and says he was always meant to be there. Truly cringeworthy- just like his feeble mind.Adios loser ! "Virtually everyone"... ha, ha, ha. Most of the people I've actually talked to thought it was great that we picked him up to use in some fashion. Maybe we travel in different circles, but "virtually everyone" wouldn't be appropriate for either of us to say.

Just to help the ‘everyone’ argument, I don’t care either way. Beaver football is bigger than MR. Welcomed him as a position coach, never again as a HC, but don’t care that he is leaving. J.Smith and the quality supporting staff he has assembled are the ones I care about.

I’m consistent. I loved him while he was here, and hated when he left. Each time. I think OSU is a good fit for what he does. Building a program that’s like a family is his way of getting players to work hard and rise above. Not sure that this approach works with prims donnas and big egos.
But it’s essentially a farm league and maybe that’s a good fit for him. We’ll see.

"It's your thing......do what you wanna do.
I can't tell ya....who ta sock it too..."
Well, whether you hate or love, this last era that included Mike Riley was pretty damned good. But, with this move, I am quite confident it is over in all fashions....for good. It has been since his hire, the Smith era. Let the games begin...

Look. It’s time to move on.... Beavs aren’t moving forward with Riley anywhere near this program. He did help bring us back to respectability.... but it’s time to move on. For good.

Enough already. His disappearing act was old, but now he's completely shot his bolt.
I've always liked Mike, but I hope we don't see him here again. Can't believe anyone associated with OSU would have much more to do with him anyway.

He'll probably be our AD when Barnes moves along.

He'll probably be our AD when Barnes moves along. LOL...interim or full time? I'm thinking interim as quickly as he moves around

Wow this is no longer interesting. I liked Riley but am done with him. He cast his lot to coach in a very minor league. Good Luck now move on. Painful reading all these 9 pages.
